A bit of both. TV listings are generally provided to magazines and newspapers by external design and media publishers, pre-designed and proofread. Technically they should be given the once over by the publication, but if they are it’s in a perfunctory manner to be sure it makes sense, rather than (arguably) smaller details like that.

What exactly are these posts about? I’m born and raised in NI, and I’m not sure what everyone is stressing over?
The title of the event is exactly as the organisers have it: https://www.europeantour.com/en/europeantour/tournaments/2017/dubai-duty-free-irish-open-hosted-by-the-rory-foundation/

It’s in the Portstewart Golf Club, which is based in County Londonderry, in Northern Ireland. That’s the formal name of the county…..

What in the TV listings is incorrect?

No, I’m not wrong. If two options are listed, you use the first one when abbreviating. And if Londonderry wasn’t the preferred option, wouldn’t Co. Derry be listed first as it’s alphabetically first?

It’s simple, really. London is London and Derry is Derry. Where else in the world is this replicated. Nowhere I know of, because it would seem ridiculous to normal people.

A disgrace alright, since all of Dubai is tax free, so the term ‘Dubai Duty Free’ is a load of rubbish. It should be called ‘Normal Dubai Shop With Nothing Special About It’.

Just after watching Goodnight Sweetheart, Keeping up Appearances, The Coroner and Death in Paradise, I got annoyed at Londonderry. And I was livid.

Jaysus, forgotten that existed until now. What an odd idea for a show

… just looked it up now, it ran for six seasons :o

Richard Herring does a good routine about it along the lines of..
Man finds a portal to transport himself back to the second world war, does he kill Hitler, does he help Churchill?
No, he has an affair with a barmaid.
The show should be called ‘A singular lack of ambition’
