If you have 3k month spare and want to live there then its worth it. But I really can’t see why you would want to pay 3k to live there is beyond me, move further away and commute.

further away? How far before rent becomes affordable — factoring in the rising cost of commuting.

Surely it couldn’t be that queue for over 3k rent for a 1 bed??

I would reckon it’s probably for this?
1 bed for sale for €225k. More in reach of many who probably are sick of high rents and could afford this better with a partner (or by themselves).

But that 3k figure is unreal. Only a year or 2 ago, that wouldn’t have been much more than €1,500 I would have though.

I used to live in that apartment about 4/5years ago. Rent was just over 900 a month. Couldn’t heat the place at all during the winter though. It was so cold I’d end up going to bed early to try and stay warm. Good times.

Hi Conor, That is for a serviced apartment corporate apartment and includes a weekly service, utility bills and internet. the q was for a 2 x bed/2 bath @€2050.00 per month.

How many of them are locals from Raytown?
How many of them are employed in tech in nearby docklands?
How many other apartments in that block are let out as Airbnb postings?

    Analysis please.

That is incredible. Three and a bit grand per month for a one bed flat? What’s more disconcerting is the number of potential renters lining up. I now understand how the estate agency was named.

    We’re all partying!!
and by partying I mean 2 paychecks from homelessness, increasingly precarious working life, very high costs of living, dismantling of our public services etc..yeah! Party!

If only everything in life was as predictable as Irish middle class grasping in a greasy till

I knew a fella who lived in that stretch about 6-7 yrs ago , it had underground parking, the river burst its banks , destroyed his car , very sad

The smart Irish leave this country and our gombeen overlords to it.. I mean how could the government let this happen? It can only be policy. Banning non principal property letting on airbnb would immediately free up thousands of gaffs… can’t do that of course, against the free market and people making money. Again this is idea logically driven . This is policy. General election please

I genuinely believe there’s a fundamental disconnect between the gombeen class as you call them and the reality of daily life for everyone else.

No way that’s a queue to rent an apartment. Most of those people look like teenagers. It’s probably just Declan having his 50% off sale on drugs.

If I could write post titles like what bodger does I’d have a better job than the one what he has.
