Pine The Pilcrow – Only Ghosts
Video directed by Donal Moloney, who writes:
A couple of months ago I was asked to do a talk in the Tara Buildings on as part of their excellent ‘Creative Mornings’ monthly program.
Prior to my talk the audience were treated to a few songs performed by a newish Irish group called ‘Pine The Pilcrow’. I had never heard of them before but they blew me away with their melancholic and haunting tones.
Their sound seemed a perfect fit for a video idea I had. Their new single ‘Only Ghosts’ (released today) was particularly suited to my notion. I approached them after the talk and they were more than keen to collaborate. I did some prep work and shot this (above) a couple of weeks ago with the assistance of some great friends. If you ever get the chance, check them out.

What house is that?
Marley park? Cabinteley park?
It’s more folky than house, really.
It’s the one-time home of the Earl of Shannon on Henrietta St, by King’s Inns.
What was the ” video idea” he had?
What record label is releasing this single? Where can I buy it?
Lovely music, well-made video – good job.
Listening to this while taking a break from sanding a 130 year old staircase… two weeks in… getting there…
Opening shot prompted me to mention :)
Lovely song to boot!
No… it’s a beautiful song…
nice music and video but a bit mainstream and predictable
Check out Clean Bandit for a little more vitality and modern approach
