A Limerick A Day

at

The Irish tricolour turns 170 on March 17

It’s a hundred and seventy years old
And a marvelous thing to behold
So hoist it to great height
But please get it right
The third bar is orange, not gold.

Goddam it, that flag still means something, even if it’s red* in the middle.

*Sorry, Bono, it’s white. Get yer eyes tested.

ugh nationalist much? I’m hoping for a day when all flags are done away with maybe just the EU flag, flags enforce the idea of nations and borders they should not be promoted.
