Terry! Terry! Terry!

The Echo Chamber podcast

Hosts Tony Groves (left) and Martin McMahon welcome filmamker Terry McMahon into the ‘tortoise shack’.

Martin writes:

Film was once the realm of myth making and escapism, but these days our politicians are the scripted actors who are playing roles in a PR Spun Irish success story.

Award winning Actor-Writer-Director, Terry McMahon, joins us in the tortoise shack for a no holds barred discussion on Our Ireland, Apollo House and the lies they were told by a government that wants to maintain the myth. Warning: strong language and mature themes throughout…

      This. I would rather a female tarantula lay her eggs in my ear canal than listen to that.

    From 18 mins 19 secs in…. the mask of respectability of these three falls….

    ” Leo ticks all those boxes, even though he’s not the some of those parts, he’s clearly not the sum of his parts ” says Tony (maybe Martin)

    ” He should be, we should be the most excited country on the fuppin’ planet. Young, gay, multi-ethnic ” Terry

    ” Yeah ” Tony or Martin

    ” That should be the most extraordinary combination. That trio of something… ”

    *excitedly make noises over each other*

    ” …we should be the proudest fuppers on the planet, instead he’s a duplicitous c*cksucker on every fuppin’ level ”

    * laughter from Tony and/or Martin *

    ” Allegedly ! ” shouts Tony or Martin

    ” Apart from only his own husband the poor b*stard ”

    * laughter from Tony and/or Martin *

    – – – – – – – – – –

    This is not the first time Terry has a go at someone’s partner…. let alone the other crap and laughter out of the other two.

    * sloooooooow clap *

      ” we should be the most excited country on the fuppin’ planet. Young, gay, multi-ethnic ” This is identity politics at its’ worst. Ready to cheer on those three points of identity, and yet retracted out of spite due to Leo’s wrong think. A display of their intolerance to view point diversity.

      These are the type of idiots who judge people on skin colour, sexual orientation, etc. as demonstrated here. They will pour praise on those with the right combination of these identities, so long as the person conforms to their view point, but will attack them just as quickly if they suffer from ‘wrong think’, as per these three and their views.

      Identity politics is regressive bullpoo! Thanks for demonstrating that, and showing your lack of credibility Echo Chamber.

      Never has a podcast ever been so aptly named.

    The Echo Chamber could learn a lot from this 10 minute vid…

    ” In this talk from Feb 2018 at Middlebury College he talks about viewpoint diversity, free speech and confirmation bias.”

    “Jonathan David Haidt (born October 19, 1963) is an American social psychologist and Professor of Ethical Leadership at New York University’s Stern School of Business. His academic specialization is the psychology of morality and the moral emotions. Haidt is the author of two books: The Happiness Hypothesis: Finding Modern Truth in Ancient Wisdom (2006) and The Righteous Mind: Why Good People are Divided by Politics and Religion (2012). Thanks Terry for being you – arms draped above and over the back of your friends neck ,the most classic and obvious display of the alpha male.
    Bet you dropped your voice an octave too and told a story about how you intimidated someone into cower from a hard stare?
