      Agreed, pure toxic..

Meanwhile Timmy Dooley seems more concerned with a miniscule irrelevant RT office on Thomas St.

Useful idiots like Timmy Dooley, James Lawless and Jim Daly need to kept an eye on, their pesistant whinging for a data commissioner to police “fake news” should be of significant concern for anyone who loves this site.

this could have very significant implications for Aughinish Alumina plant (+400 employees) in Limerick and Irl-strangely not covered by Irish media ?
there are concerns (FT) that due to sanctions traders may not be able to buy or trade metal from Rusal !
h/t Namawinelake (NWL)who had a post on it.

“Aughinish Alumina is one of the most technologically advanced and energy efficient facilities worlwide.
Europe’s largest alumina refinery and a major alumina asset of RUSAL
One of the world’s most energy efficient alumina refineries
The facility infrastructure includes a deepwater terminal on the Shannon estuary that facilitates efficient deliveries to European smelters”

    https://www.rusal.ru/en/about/30/

“United Company RUSAL PLC is being designated for being owned or controlled by, directly or indirectly, EN+ Group. United Company RUSAL PLC is based in Jersey and is one of the world’s largest aluminum producers, responsible for seven percent of global aluminum production.”

“All assets subject to U.S. jurisdiction of the designated individuals and entities, and of any other entities blocked by operation of law as a result of their ownership by a sanctioned party, are frozen, and U.S. persons are generally prohibited from dealings with them. Additionally, non-U.S. persons could face sanctions for knowingly facilitating significant transactions for or on behalf of the individuals or entities blocked today.’

A burglary has taken place at the Indo and I hope the editor Mr Sheehan reports this crime to An garda.

Leo is keeping a very low profile the past few days. Any relevance to the INM story, or to a meeting recently in Davos? The Moriarty file…has he retrieved it yet from the back of the cupboard? Is it going to be released – seeing as it’s lying 7 years there now? What jewels of information await?

Haven’t you mentioned you serve food? And you admit to bottling and burying your piss? Nice restaurant.

“19. This is one of the craziest things about the modern age, we would never let the government or a corporation put cameras/microphones in our homes or location trackers on us, but we just went ahead and did it ourselves because duck it I want to watch cute dog videos”

We mainly allow this surveillance voluntarily but it’s not that simple. New android phones are following Apple and are linking the security to an email address so you don’t actually have a choice. As the public become aware of these restrictions, I expect it will become a factor in what PDA’s people buy.

Yes I did read the tweets.
Yes you do have a choice. You can choose not to use google products. You can choose not to install specific apps. You can switch off location tracking. You oy can browse in private mode. You can use proxy servers.

But if you choose buy some internet connected device then it can connect to the internet and you can/will be tracked.

In some cases you don’t. I know someone who is a solicitor and reads software t&c’s for a living, that is her job. Even she battles with the legal contradictions held within some of them. A cynic would say that is deliberate but either way, some are certainly not written for the average person to understand.

Also, they make it as difficult as possible to use some software without logging into an email account, and that is for a reason. Personally, if available I always run a web browser version of a service because you are using their processing power rather than your own PDA. How did Google get such a grip on the Apps market anyways?

          3. Cian

Funny. I always run a web version of a service so I don’t have to install their app. And let their app access to all my contacts, pictures, camera, microphone, texts, etc.

Notice they removed Connor’s shoe laces when they arrested him
He must of really freaked out when he rushed to get out. Forgetting to tie them.
No jumping into his super car then speeding away, just another con making his way to freedom.
Notice the photo in the sun of Connor
He seems as though he is in pain as he is walking.
I wonder did the brothers get to him and show Connor some brotherly love.
Got to love the yanks for they really know how to put manners on scumbags

The Sunday times photo of the little girl just shows the shame we should feel for what modern Ireland under varadka’s Ireland’s got talent cabinet.

Look at her a little girl who looks like any other holding a sign missing her home
This era and time is Dickensian,
For the life of me I just cannot believe how we as a people tolerate this ?
    But sadly we do .

Funny, I thought – The Sunday Irish Times didn’t reference my comment on BS on the post entitled, “Barking” during the week about a collie named Carlsberg, She’s still running around the farm in Tyrone, on the Lough shore, and all the rest of it.

Its sad to see nothing about Rory in Augusta playing to win the open in the media on broadsheet
Looking at it on the telly and sad to see he did not win
But I noticed isn’t it great that the golf club have a policy of letting inmates from the jail caddy the players as they play their rounds
