there’s a great point in this cartoon but I think it has been somewhat lost by painting it as a man Vs women issue which it clearly isn’t. the artist is entitled to draw what she likes and no one is asking her to change it

To be honest though I think it goes beyond “communication failings”, there is a culture of secrecy and coverup in Ireland which is endemic. You only have to look at the mother and baby homes, the sexual abuse scandal, the garda corruption, bertie ahern, [he who must not be named] the list goes on and on. And what will happen, a commission or tribunal will be set up which will last for some years, a report will be issued talking about “systems failures” or some other BS and nobody will be held accountable. It’s predictable and sad.

Its an easy fact check to look up the senior management structure for the HSE and do a little gender split.
Including our Minster for Death, ahem, I mean Minister for Health, we find that there are 16 Men and 6 Women.
There are 18 “suits” in the cartoon above. To be representative, there should be (rounded up from 4.9086) FIVE women in there.
But is it the HSE that was responsible? Or Cervical Check?
