From top: Together For Yes campaigners outside the Bang Bang Café; Eamonn Murray and Anne Phelan

This morning.

Phibsborough, Dublin 7.

#knittersforrepeal writes:

Maser’s Repeal is on its way back into Temple Bar this afternoon and this time it won’t be painted over because Local T4Y campaigner, Anne Phelan, has only gone and knitted it!

Hanging on ‘knitting needles’ fashioned from broom handles (carved by another Phibsborough local, master craftsman, Eamonn Murray) a group of local T4Y supporters gathered this morning outside Bang Bang Café for its ‘unveiling’ before being transported to its new home.

In fairness

it’s called “grassroots” and it’s because Yes don’t have the American funding of the No side

      1. Termagant

Perhaps not but they do have the ample funding of a certain Hungarian gentleman.

I find it hard to believe that Viktor Orbán supports repealing the 8th, but if you say so. Btw, he’s no gentleman.

I’m busy crocheting willy warmers at the minute. Three sizes: small, medium and liar. Think I’ll move to Phibsboro?

Curious the large volumes of young Americans in Dublin city centre today. As in hoards of them. College kid types. Saw some handing out bibles and whatnot on Grafton Street. Not far from where the Social Democrats presser for the Yes campaign was taking place.

Strap in as it’s gonna be a funky week in little old Ireland….

same thing on saturday. i passed around 200 of them on their way back from the No parade/demonstration thing. i’d say no more than 20 of them were under the age of 60 – and every single one of those had that wide-eyed, permanent grin that americans just can’t hide.

      1. Frill the 8th

        let them off

the only people that matter are those that are eligible to vote

if the No-Siders want to make a nuisense of themselves
        and p1ss everyone off
        particularly the undecideds
us-for-yes’ers are weathered enough so we’re immune,
but the undecideds if they get that wound up by the bible floggers, and that sick of the banners outside public facilities, they’ll do one of 3 things Friday week

        Vote Yes
        Spoil their Vote
        or Not Vote ah’tall

        win win afaic
