Still haven’t stopped laughing at how their arrogance and hubris cost them the Argentina match.

Please keep us in the loop about the major Israeli investment in Ireland. It would be good to know
    BDS

Also BDS your smart phone as it contains Israeli manufactured processors

Yep unfortunately Irish technology is dependent on Israeli technology unlike Israelis technology dependent on Ireland technology

Everytime there’s anything related to Israel posted we get this massive backlash. Israel does have attitude problems with aggression yes, but they are also in a very difficult position, in that every Islamic country surrounding them wants them destroyed for good. Iran and Hamas are constantly testing them. People need to read more about the complexities they face rather than shouting that everyone should boycott them. There’s a lot of Israeli’s who hate what Benjamin Netanyahu does and really want change. Its such a grey area of a conflict, but a lot of Irish people have such black and white views of who is right and who is wrong. We should be more understanding considering our recent history in Northern Ireland.

This “complexity” distraction is typical of Hasbara. The recent mass murder of unarmed protesters is a straightforward issue. Israel is a racist, theocratic, toxic, Apartheid, illegal “state.” It has been a destabilising presence in region for over 70 years. The Palestinian people live as occupied, brutalised, second class citizens in their own land. The recent killings in Gaza were multiple’s of Bloody Sunday. So, go away with your “Northern Ireland” comparison crap.

Hamas are a racist, homophobic, xenophobic mass murdering terrorists that send the people it claims to protect to death.

        1. Friscondo

The Palestinians are not Hamas, as Hamas are not the Palestinians. The Irish are not the IRA, as the IRA are not the Irish. People have fundamental human rights, which the Palestinian people, en masse, are being denied. Hamas, blah, terrorists, blah, Iran, blah, blah, blah. Israel, is the only state in the region with illegal nuclear weapons, as well as large stockpiles of chemical weapons and nerve agents.

            You just showed your ignorance
Hamas are the elected democratic government of Gaza which is the Palestinian state
Maybe less of the hummus stand on Grafton street and reading history before showing your ignorance

You’ve whipped many into thinking that – it’s a master-stroke. Tip of the hat to you.

I remember living in Britain during the height of the troubles and a certain ilk would think just like you friscondo
They actually thought there was no complexities just murdering republicans
They too could not understand the nationalists historical rights to their own land
Palestine them was maybe 28 years old under British rule seized from the ottoman empire who seized it from another empire
Sadly the ones who have archaeological proof as to existing in that land before others were the Jews before Christianity and Islam

So, if a Dane was to rock up to someone ‘s apartment in Christchurch and say give me the keys, that’s OK, cos the Vikings founded Dublin. Right. That’s the childish level of argument you need to stoop to, to justify the “Jewish State.” BTW there’s none of us queuing up to steal someone’s house in Banbridge or Portadown. Unlike the ongoing theft of Palestinian land.

          1. trev

And what argument was it for the republic of Ireland?
800 years of colonial rule by the Brits and Irish people were there first
Seems like the Jewish argument for Israel

      3. Iwerzon

‘Israel does have attitude problems with aggression yes..’
You sound like a parent coming to terms with little Johnny’s school yard fighting. Israel is an illegal nuclear power who continues to murder steal land and gets away with it. They are the pathetic little git who hangs around with the stronger school bully and holds their coat while they beat up the world while having the security of not being touched. Until, the bully comes crashing down.

Try living at war with your neighbours for near on 80 years ,and every time you go softly softly you find you are attacked yet again
          Eventually patience goes
The likes of Hamas do not want peace

    2. Friscondo

BTW, it’s the north of Ireland, or, the six counties. Embassy staff should be better acquainted with basic terminology. You’re welcome.

Are you a school-teacher? Passive-aggressive thought police alert!

You might say jusayinlike is “being facetious”

      1. samwise_gangee

I love your relativism and false-equivalence.

He was lead to his death by them. They were happier to have a cabal of power and deny the king that would set their people free. They knowingly killed the son of God. The morality of the fable has such power that it has been re-told, albeit in milder contexts.

          1. samwise_gangee

I never said there was. But maybe it’s just a useful book containing much cultural, sociological and moral significance…just maybe…before you burn it…

The way people run away from one orthodoxy to another says a lot about our intelligence – power is never a concern until it is abused.

Bodger/Chompsky please note david is back doling out wearisome insults and vaguely racist white noise.

      Really
Bet his wife has horns under her hat
I always remember as a child my sisters classmates used to ruffle her hair looking for horns
You really show your ignorance with that remark

      1. Papi

“You really show your ignorance with that remark”

        HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!
        Oh, you’re a ticket.

        1. trev

          What remark?
          The one about my sister?
Well it was gentiles that did that to a little girl
Brought up to carry on the bigotry regarding christ killers
Taught in every school by the religious teachers in the 60 when we were in school
