Sunday is Father’s Day!
Every year, we give away a 25 euro Golden Discs voucher to ONE paterfamilias on Fathering Sunday.
All we ask from you is a tune your old man (living or tooling about in the great shed in the sky) would like to hear (in his good ear) on the big day.
We already have 33 songs selected from last week (see below).
This is your very last chance to tell your da you love him through the medium of choonage.

The baby seat he rigged up on the motorbike to go to gigs with us may have been additional grounds to call. The phone was too high on the wall for us to reach at the time though.
my Da used to put fake dog poos around in fun places like your shoes, your dolls lap, or your box of biscuits or in your bed for the craic. He fashioned them himself out of putty and they glistened just so…very realistic

“Yes, I’m so proud when you are with me,
That my heart digs in my throat.
And when you stop to strut your stuff,
My eyes go all afloat.
And when I have to leave you home
As sometimes it must be.
I feel that with my leaving
I leave far too much of me.”

It came on the radio during a long drive years ago, and my dad acted pretty unimpressed until the ‘owner is a mental midget with the IQ of a fencepost’ line. He splurted out a huge laugh and nearly drove us off the road..
