Funny enough, I was put onto it by a relative who moved to China, and it’s very useful if you know how to use it. Apparently you can make payments from it too. My relative uses it to pay for just about everything, from rent to dinner. But I think that may be because it’s so big in China.

Interesting – but comparing apples to oranges.
Airlines (needing huge investment in airports, airplanes and misc others) Vs a free app;
It would be slightly more fair to compare how long, say, Ryanair got to it’s 50m passenger; 19 years. But even then comparing £££ to free.
Progress really should be in inverted commas.
