President Michael D Higgins wants gambling removed from sport

Our president reckons it’s bad
If your sport is served up with an ad
That makes you place a bet
That you later regret
And an outright ban would make him glad

Irish people can’t be trusted, just take a look around the place. Or spend 5 minutes outside a bookies. It’s depressing stuff. And that’s just the visible betting. Imagine all the poor clowns wasting thousands on their phones.

Ireland has a huge gambling problem. We have to!! The amount of betting shops in every small town nearly outnumbers pubs now.

When the fun stops, bet later.

The bookies will ban those who keep winning don’t they?

Not those who squander away every last penny they have.. it’s very visible & very sad.

Pointless little project from a pointless little man in a pointless little job. (Ten to one the ad -ban never happens)
