The greedy grey hand of motordom on the Irish media – every publication and every TV programme has car-worshipping copy… every TV show is bracketed by many ads for cars… Ireland is due to be hit with nation-bankrupting carbon fines for our failure to tackle pollution…

    I doubt it.

Under GDPR you cannot use information gained from people for any purpose other than originally stated.

This is just a scam where tens of thousands of people will buy €1 stamps to win a car.

Proably better odds than any of the lottery €1 scratchcards though, and a win is guaranteed.

      ah GDPR schmeedeeepeeeorrrr
your data is being cut up and diced in 100’s of ways you haven’t even considered yet

“do you have a clubcard, would you like one?” says the nice lady at the checkout. eh, no thanks, not ever.

apols @Cian I was being a bit facetious with the supermarket example

I promise you that you can tick all the boxes you want or don’t want to, there are layers underneath all this comfort blanket of civil legal paperwork structural stuff like GDPR where you data is being used. If it’s on a hard disk anywhere else except in your own personal secure possession directly or logged it is open to use/abuse

            Tubridy Tax

Sure everything is open to abuse it doesn’t negate the fact that there are protections and regulations

Yeah, with the new investigative Presidential powers she’ll have. She’s an “award-winning journalist” don’t you know?

  3. I am a mole

Working in the telecom industry for 8 years now and I can verify your data is not safe and is quite open to abuse and is abused regularly.
