People reportedly queuing for Electric Picnic tickets in Portlaoise this morning

This morning.

Tickets for next year’s Electric Picnic went on sale at 9am.

And in Portlaoise, Co Laois, some people queued since 4.30am.

Lynda Kiernan, of the Leinster Express, reports:

A massive queue has formed in Portlaoise this morning Friday September 9 of people hoping to snap up Electric Picnic 2019 tickets.

Watch our video of the entire queue to see where it starts from, and it was still growing at 9.30am.

Are they hard to get? Why don’t people buy them online. These people look like they’re going to try and sell them for a profit tbh.

Queuing for festival tickets? Some of that brigade looked old enough to have queued to see the Pope in 1979. Best of luck to them, but I’d rather have a brandy and put my feet up of a weekend.

Hang on. Have I been pronouncing it incorrectly all these years? I say port-leesh. Do I have to add the -sha at the end? Why isn’t it Port”laois” like the county?
