I have been working on a documentary about the village of Newtok, Alaska over the past three years.
The community there are threatened by rapid coastal erosion which sees up to 50 feet of tundra fall into the river every year.
The film follows their efforts to pioneer a new town on higher ground, their struggles to maintain their native identity and their daily lives as American citizens with no access to basic infrastructure like running water…
