Last night.

Limerick mum-of-two Vicky Phelan (top), who has terminal cancer, tweeted:

One delighted parent here signing consent forms for the #hpvvaccine for my daughter, Amelia. 6 months ago, I didn’t think I would be here to consent to this vaccine that will mean my daughter will NEVER get cervical cancer. Parents pls consent to this life-saving vaccine.

Work with a guy with 2 daughters, he said he will never vaccinate his daughters with such a dangerous vaccine. The scaremongering works sadly.

Nice of him to consider whether his daughters would like it, seeing as they’d be the ones receiving it.

spot the love boater….. Moron. Hopefully, when they are 18 and out from under his Neantherdal control they can go and get it themselves.

Vicky is a very brave woman and coming down on the correct side once again on this one but I hate being the one to point out that Gardasil (I presume she’s talking about Gardasil) still isn’t necessarily 100% effective. It’s definitely the best we’ve got, but it doesn’t guarantee that the girl will never get cervical cancer. It’s nearly 100% after the third vaccine dose, but it’s unfortunately not 100%.

I agree as we hear that this country as reported is not getting the best cancer preventing drugs
We often assume our HSE put people before price
And also cancer is not just cervical
Many other types are out there and many caused by the way we live
I’m always believe everything is a catalyst as we all have dormant cancer cells waiting for the right catalyst to come along and bingo
But I am just a ludite

Only God is perfect. That’s an old line. If every girl is vaccinated and every boy is vaccinated then it’s as good as 100%.
