   Was a credit union equivalent pre-Independence basically. SF of then and SF of now are not the same party.

   The then editor of the SF newspaper, Seamus O’Kelly, was murdered there by British soldiers ‘celebrating’ Armistice Day in 1918.

   SF have been in continuous existence from its formation in 1905 to todays party.
