‘The indictment alleges that [long-time Donald Trump confidante] Roger Stone made multiple attempts to contact WikiLeaks through an intermediary about documents stolen from the Democratic national committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, and passed on information to Trump’s election campaign team about the documents.’

How long has it been now since the Guardian published their fake front page news story about Manafort visiting Assange in the Ecuadorian embassy – 2 months or so? Never retracted; complete silence on it from chief editor Kathy Viner and all other Guardian journalists have failed to comment when asked for an opinion on it. CNN’s reputation is worse if anything in persisting with this Russiagate nonsense

Same with all the hullabaloo over last weeks fake Buzzfeed story about the Russian Trump tower, which was retracted 24 hours later. Every news agency covered it but none really mentioned the retraction.
This from the same crowd that brought you the infamous “Steele Dossier”.
Nominated for a Pulitzer last year.

Blind faith in a vague quasi-religious conspiracy theory that mutated out of pizzagate versus flawed reporting of a hugely weird and complex knot of lies and corruption? For shame.

          Very cute Bodger :)
“I don’t give a poopy what happens. I want you all to stonewall—plead the Fifth Amendment, cover-up, or anything else. If that will save it, save the plan‘
          Nixon-Watergate.
Watergate was basically about undermining a political opponent through ‘dirty tricks’ and after getting caught the cover up-bit simplistic but there you have it.

        Yeah…..but!

These are media outlet, the real story rests with the special investigator and he ain’t saying too much, possibly because he is a hardened veteran of this sort of thing.

If I didn’t know better, I would think Mueller is making this into theatre before going after the Capo Dei capi himself, Don Trumpioni.

He already brought down one major crime family, looks like he will have another scalp for his belt soon enough.

Yeah the media wilted in the face of aggressive right-wing PR, proving they never learn, and It’s always cool to be racist in America!

Those kids travelled the guts of 500 miles to go to a pro-life rally. Don’t they have playstations? Girlfriends? Lives?

Whats your point? This guy has been indicted and arrested so there is no correlation between this and your conspiracy theory.

Well Rudi Guilliani incriminates Trump, his family, and his associates regularly every Sunday on the news shows. And Trump keeps him as his personal lawyer! Trump’s such an idiot, but also maybe Rudi is the only lawyer left that will touch this toxic conman president.

“So please please please. Let this, let this, let this. Let this be the time that he gets impeached.” Sung to the Smiths tune, “Please, Please, Please, Let Me Get What I Want This Time.”

Roger the dodger gets busted. Must say, always enjoyed Stone’s contribution to the black arts of politics, but every t**d gets what comes to him, eventually!

Mind you sending in the equivalent of a SWAT team to arrest him, is serious overkill!

How many “wall are closing in on Donald Trump” stories do we have to be subjected to before people will start to use their heads and realise its just a distraction.
Think about it, the implication is that Trump is Putin’s agent – yet despite this, the US establishment is prepared to let Trump to continue at the helm – for over 2 years now – while Mueller takes his time examining evidence. If there were anything actually there, Trump would have been ousted from the start.

You know you’ve made it to NWO HQ when people who think the moon landings, 911 and Sandy Hook were faked and Qanon is a da vinci code-esque blueprint call you the voice of reason

Someone who mocked a disabled reporter, boasted of sexual assault, has a history of racism and misogyny and long associations with incredibly dodgy types, had a string of bankruptcies and a record of deliberately not paying employees got elected to one of the most powerful officers in the planet. It turns out he had an affair with a porn actress and paid her off to keep her quiet and a not insignificant number of his campaign staff are in prison, under investigation or co-operating with the authorities. He routinely attacks and tries to undermine an investigation into his campaign, and has even been accused of threatening a witness using his social media platform. Republican politicians and his base still support him fully. I’m sorry, what is it exactly you’re having a hard time believing about him still being in office?

Somewhere deep in the bowels of Trump Tower there’s a painting of a man getting gradually fitter, more attractive and saintly.

  6. jusayinlike

The deranged neo liberal press focuses on Donald the distraction.

Meanwhile, there’s a CIA coup d’etat in full swing in oil rich Venezuela..

      1. jusayinlike

The derangement is strong with Nigel. Go back to correcting the kids copy books.

Just to be absolutely clear, there’s nothing random about a coup d’etat in a mineral rich country.

But hey ho, look over there at Donald the distraction and the cul de sac Mueller investigation.

        How I laugh..

        1. Nigel

What’s random is picking a story to serve as the object of distraction. If it wasn’t Venezuela It’d be something else. Not working very well It’s been on the news solidly for the last two days.

          1. Nigel

Yes but you think the moon landings and the Sandy Hook massacre were false narratives so frankly go swivel. I bet Roger Stone loves you.

          2. Nigel

And yet you’re the guy who gleefully swallowed
Stone’s ratfuppery trying to use Venezuela as a distraction.

      2. f_lawless

Nigel I urge you to read this detailed extensive thread:
” Are we now over 50 major news stories that have had to be retracted or seriously corrected, all in the same direction, with respect to Russia since 2016?”
in the hope you might think twice about being in a position to judge people for being suckers for spin and fake stories
        https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1086424261709881344.html

        1. Nigel

Considering the number of stories about Trump I wonder if fifty is a large amount percentage wise? How many Roger Stone sillies have been corrected or retracted?

        2. Nigel

And since the media fell for that sort of thing over and over again I don’t know why you think I’m defending the media.
