    the same Noel Rock who said, if elected, would not accept any travel allowances and then went back on his word. Whoops.

      to be fair, he did clarify that – what he meant was that he would not claim travel allowance while going on holidays

        not what he said when he called to my door pre-election. But sure, I’ve been sold plenty of lies from politicians calling. More fool me for answering the door.

    While Rock is under pressure here for apparent hypocrisy, the other story is the FAI selectively leaking against elected politicians. I wonder do they catalogue every email, text and letter they receive from politicians in the off-chance that it can one day be used to blackmail or embarrass them?
    If they ran the FAI as well as they smeared opponents they wouldn’t be in this mess.
