Free Running

Yesterday.

Members of the Dublin Sanctuary Runners (including the ‘sheet‘s Olga Cronin, above second left, who “didn’t run”) celebrate taking part in the Sportsworld Running Club’s five-mile road race in Terenure, Dublin 6, while brothers Franklin and David finished first and third place in the Under-12 800m race (second pic).

Every Saturday morning, Sanctuary Runners – comprised of Irish people and people who live in Direct Provision – run or walk together at their local 5km Park Run.

Established in Cork in February 2018 by feature writer and broadcaster Graham Clifford and photographer Clare Keogh, groups now also meet in Dublin, Limerick, Kerry, Waterford, Wicklow and Galway.

Anyone who wishes to get involved can email info@sanctuaryrunners.ie.
