The families through their lawyers Phoenix Law made a formal application for a fresh investigation.

Maybe this time it will be taken seriously and left free of interference. My heart breaks for the survivors and families of those who died that night, they’ve been shafted by politics for decades so I hope this brings them the justice they deserve.

Appointed by Haughey – who knew the Stardust owners and whose constituents perished in the fire – by his wife’s lover (at her suggestion). Good times.

        Abosultely, Bodge.

Let’s not scupper this case. I went to offer a business/artistic donation tonight to the Stardust Truth and Justice Committee but promptly refrained when I saw that they have adamantly asked for privacy, no contact and no distraction from their mission. And rightly so. I’ve no doubt you guys will exercise your sound journalistic discretion. If the Committee need support, let them announce it.

Wish them the very, very best with this.

Well deserved. Putting on my tin foil hat though – the timing. Just prior to a general election. “FG – the party who brought you a new inquest”
    Forgive my tin foiledness.
