I was told as a child ( to stop me going on the tracks ) that the train ran over their toes, I can still picture it when I see the toeless ones hobbling about,
you wouldn’t tell kids that stuff theses days, sure I had nightmares but have all my toes :) :)

Gnarly toes are a common sight on flying rats in Dublin.
