Doesn’t surprise me – Easons order the majority of their cards from UK companies such as Hallmark. The shocking this is, our national museums and gift shops stock predominantly UK-made greeting cards and postcards too. There may be a token selection of Irish-made ones on offer with silly paddy-whackery ould nonsense, but indigenous card companies don’t get a look in.

Was in Tesco on Saturday; picked up (out of curiosity) a card with entirely Irish language content – complete with drawing of old-fashioned green postbox.
Actually it did have one line in English – where it said “Made in China” on the back!
