they should really keep 10 m away, or just run at less social times, early morning, late evening

seen so much of this recently, motorists v cyclists has been replaced by joggers v walkers – much of it based on a questionably scientific blog post
people should share the footpaths sensibly – i run regularly and now have to deal with people who insist on walking and talking 2 meters apart from someone who is obviously not in their household, taking up the entire footpath and giving no space for anyone to pass

was down in marlay park at the weekend. 300 acres of fields to run around on, yet most joggers were using the paths shared with buggies and old folks out for a stroll.

That’s joggers for you. If they ever graduate to beings unners expect the etiquette to improve (slightly).
Agreed with @b.
People need to share the paths. But joggers are not the main offenders for space hogging: try the numpties going around n their Canada Goose jackets with massive ear phones on, WhatsApping or Facetiming completely oblivious; AirPods Instahuns with those toy dogs on long leases; and what’s with the buggies with two kids seated and another one standing on the back like a conductor on a CIE bus in Dublin 1973? Ban the all yummy mummies and IVF.
