My 9 year-old son’s dog Bailey (above) went missing in North King Street, Smithfield, Dublin 7 at around 9.30am.
Bailey is nearly 1 year old and has been chipped (with phone number on collar but no calls as of yet)…
Anyone?
UPDATE: Bailey FOUND!

I really hope you find him quickly.
Make sure you chip is registerd correctly on Fido.ie, loads are not.
Thanks John. Will check ASAP.
We have two gated gardens right outside the house. He was let out for a wee at 9am and the gf sat on the windowsill as is the normal morning routine. He went behind a bin, then gone. I checked the CCTV footage at the locall shop 50m away and they cannot see the dog passing.
My son is distraught. Guards say they will drop down.
Next step is posters with a reward so instead of the dog going to England I can just pay the money now to get him back.
He was being looked after by somebody close by.
They never realised he had a phone number.
Phew, he’s back.
Thanks to broadsheet, local Facebook groups and random strangers asking after us.
I’m really happy to hear that, in these times of pure scum dog thieves that’s a great ending to this story !
Woohoo! Great news.
Two people we ran into had similar stories where the dogs were never found.
The guards were very helpful but you cannot report a stolen dog if he was romaing around near your house and then disappears. Needs to be a gate or door opened or suspected robbery.
He’s going to be a leash dog from now on. He was 99% anyways but he just lost that 1%.
Girl who had lost hers forever told us to put ‘needs daily medication’ on the poster to remove the resale option and increase the reward option.
