    The firearms posts here are great, because frequently the guards pick up fierce peculiar stuff.

    It took me ages to figure out what it was, it’s a Grand Power K100 (or variant) from Slovakia. The doohickie between the ejection port and the trigger is unique. They have a reputation for being… ‘affordable’… Cartridges don’t look like 9mm, I wonder if it is an Eastern Bloc caliber.

    I concur. That particular powder actuated delivery device is a Slovenian Grand Power P11 compact. They take 9 milly Luger.

    But as ever, I’ll wait on Janet to have the final say. :-)

      I was thinking it might be 9mm Makarov (seems quite popular among Irish gangs), but Makarov is ’rounder at the top’ (gratuitous fr ted quote) so indeed it’s a 9 para.
