Taoiseach Micheál Martin has doubled down on his claim made yesterday in the Dáil that the “banks were not bailed out”

One still hears allegations about
The banks all getting a bail out
This is rather unfair
As the price of a share
Quite rapidly went down the spout

…it was reckless management and gambling that decimated shareholder funds…shareholders only have the bank boards to complain to about that…a fairy poor attempt to conflate banking collapse with stock exchange speculation…

Wish they had done that fact checking thing with all the “we all partied” ráiméis they came out with to try and make us feel like the banks and builders needing a bailout was our fault.

Excellent ! Mehole’s utterances about the banksters & bailouts and his and Fine Gaels connivance in inflicting the most savage austerity cuts on taxpayers instead of the guilty, will remind and increase the hatred for Fianna Fail Gael by the electorate.
Mehole does not require a shovel to bury himself and his debased party, Excellent!
