Yesterday ChargerCromwell was indignant that the man hadn’t been arrested and his house hadn’t been searched. By the time he was typing his little rant both had already happened.

I think he was upset that the Gardai didn’t kettle everybody and batter them into submission as they have done for decades in the UK

      1.The incident happened on Saturday.
      2.He wasn’t arrested until Tuesday.
      3.You are an idiot.

      1. george

        1) He was already arrested and his house had been searched when you were making your comment about how that hadn’t been done. You literally didn’t know what you were talking about.
        2) He can to the station with his solicitor which most likely means the Gardai had been in contact with him and arranged for him to be arrested by appointment.
        3) You haven’t a clue how any of this works.

          Keystone Kops.
In a case like this you don’t contact someone and ask them to drop by at their own convenience giving them time to get rid of evidence and intimidate witnesses.
You break their front door down at the earliest opportunity, haul them off to a police cell and let them next see daylight again through a prison van window on their way to a remand hearing.
And you don’t give them bail as though they had been jay-walking.
When I wrote my post yesterday he was still having his boiled egg and soldiers watching Judge Judy.
Get back to CSI Offaly you clown.

      From the RTÉ:

“He sat in the dock wearing a mask, at times with his head down or his hands covering his face.”

  2. Conski

caught a ‘father of four’ bit about him on the news, add in the lightee of said rocket – his own pint-sized questions by the gardai, and you could hazard a guess a father of the year prize

        1. V aka Frilly Keane

or that his same starts with a Mick…

actually you know that lad Fab U something or other the Micks here were flogging over the weekend
Well he has a video hosted over on that Gript – saw it there this morning
…. would seem to be a bit of a big swinging mick himself with the Griptiles

      1. Rob_G

it’s very sad – a direct consequence of successive governments incentivising useless people to have as many kids as possible.

          1. Rob_G

            No, I guess he isn’t.

But he is still enjoying a free gaff in Monkstown as a reward for his profligate fecundity.

  3. Bitnboxy

Poor auld GiggidyPox was out like nobody’s business trying to tell us it was only one errant lad who did this. A tiny speck of dirt in a sea of peaceful “protestors”. Not a 30 something, father of four who is the prime suspect. Some father.

Surely if found guilty, this warrants a custodial sentence but the violins will be out for the defence / mitigation – shur wasn’t the poor fella driven demented by the lockdowns.

    1. Jake38

And… he had drink taken, he comes form a respectible family, he’s very remorseful and he will put 100 euros in the poor box, your honor…

    2. GiggidyGoo

And the Bpox gets another foot of line. ROFL!
The usual challenge to you – link to where I said any of that.
The line is getting tighter – the Bpox is wriggling. ROFL!
      Did I mention….ROFL! ?

      1. Bitnboxy

Is that steam coming from your ears GiggidyPox?

There, there, maybe one of your aliases can comfort you.

        Very wound up today GriftyGoo.

When ya grabbing d’aul high vis and heading to the port? It will be nippy out tonight. ROFL!

          1. Bitnboxy

Ha! GiggidyPox- linking literally where you were BUSTED for using an alias! The brass neck on ya. Accusing all and sundry on here of using aliases.

Shall I share your meltdown on St Stephen’s Day? Swearing never again to engage with Boxy. This is what sparked your latest spat with Boxy.

Still, surely it’s high viz vest time – isn’t your aul shift starting?!

Boxy ain’t going anywhere sweetie and will continue calling you and your aliases out for what you are: low-brow GriftyGoo.

          2. GiggidyGoo

Haa haa. You went into meltdown, then high-tailed it for 2 weeks. Sure it makes great reading. You made some clown of yourself then, and heading that way again.

Mick McCabe had you well sussed. Pity you haven’t taken his advice

          3. GiggidyGoo

No need to Rob. I’d already told the Poxy that I was saving it for future use. Do try keep up.

          4. Bitnboxy

Why use a bizarre mental health slur GiggidyPox when another commenter said you had this very issue. Mad stuff!

Hmm, kinda looks to Boxy that you are the one flailing around. Taking it all very seriously!

Also ever consider this: nobody cares! Every wind up (and there’ll be more- you just never learn) is just that – a glorious, meaningless wind up! And every time you take the bait. How do you think your responses make you look?!

            Naughty Boxy!

            Heehee ;-p

          5. GiggidyGoo

            As McCabe says

I own you. You can’t resist. You can’t leave it.
Echopraxia was first noted in McCabes comment to you, about your penchant.
And post after post you prove him correct.

        1. GiggidyGoo

Well, Rob, it is as no such link exists. But sure it’s yourself that’s saying it’s cobblers, maybe you can provide such a link? Eh? No?

          1. Rob_G

well, actually I have no idea what this particular spat is about. But you saying ‘ROFL’ many times and claiming victory only really serves to make you seem like a pigeon playing chess.

          2. Bitnboxy

One has to get up early to box with Boxy.

Which is strange given GriftyGoo is usually stalking this site at all hours.

But Boxy likes their beauty sleep!

          3. GiggidyGoo

Time for the paper bag over your head there Bpox. You’re hyperventilating now. ROFL!

          4. Bitnboxy

You’re all over the place GiggidyPox.

Boxy is showing you up AGAIN.

            What a farce.

            Still, fun though!

  4. GiggidyGoo

Bail was set in Mr. Merriman’s own bond of €200, with no cash required. has to sign on twice a week at Shankill.
The seriousness of what he was at obviously doesn’t compute.

    1. Bitnboxy

Based on your comments he should have been before the Children’s Court.

      1. GiggidyGoo

I can sense the adrenaline moving through your veins – trying to think of something intelligent to write, but it just won’t come to you. You’re simmering with rage and can’t find an outlet.
You made quite a fool of yourself a short while ago, and disappeared from here for a time as BitnBoxy. And here you are again going down the same road – ROFL!

        Linky please. Ta ta.

        1. Bitnboxy

Erm, nah. See above, having my usual fun!

Also why are you using some weird mental health slur that was first slung at you GriftyGoo?!

          You’re a right funny fish!

You’re terribly wound up – not that anyone here cares!

Let Boxy have their fun! Come on…

        2. GiggidyGoo

Linky McLink (funny how you can never produce them)
Adrenaline still coursing through your veins then?
          There there there. Good boy.

          1. Bitnboxy

Bizarre mental health slurs and I wouldn’t mind but you’re only using it after another commenter said you had this very issue! Sheesh.

Nevertheless, you are a constant source of mirth for us!

            Ya reap what ya sow.

Ain’t that the truth GriftyGoo?! ;-p

          2. Bitnboxy

Lol! GiggidyPox quoting their alias. Love it.

I think it was BB who said you had that condition first that you are now throwing around like confetti at a wedding at others.

I’m going to use it too then. You, GiggidyPox have a terrible case of ECHOPRAXIA! True, isn’t it?!

Love that other commenters are beginning to get peed-off by this nuttery which is totally not my intention. Mwahahaha!

          3. GiggidyGoo

Nice double down there. ‘I’m going to use it too then’. ROFL! Feed the line, reel ‘em in.
            Echopraxia on the double. ROFL!

    1. Kdoc

The point is there shouldn’t have been a super spreader march during a pandemic. In times of crisis e.g. war, citizens face some restrictions on their liberty, and rightly so. The protest participants are traitors to their country.
