This afternoon.

…equipped to handle future vehicle types if required, such as full battery electric vehicles and hydrogen vehicles.

The Broadstone depot dates back to 1850. A number of original features have been retained, such as its cast iron structure and the old overhead gantry cranes.

Dublin Bus also said it has become the first semi-State organisation in Ireland to install swift nesting boxes onto a site.

The depot, which is one of eight, has the capacity for 120 buses

J has just been told they are keeping me in over night to do early morning now,
I’m fit to be tied, long wait for all that,
too many emergency in theater today,
so I’m trying to rehydrate and recover from the antichrist induced mood fasting always produces :)

Tomorrow’s Win Nicks Voucher should be songs featuring Boys and Girls names with Janet picking the winner??

            Best of luck J

Oh no Janet! What a nightmare! They warned me of the same thing when I went in too.

Nothing more frustrating than sitting on your hands and fasting all day. I nearly kissed the kind soul who brought me tea and toast after I had the wee monster. X

I was just thinking that. It was the same with us too. Only let in when I was in theatre, and that wasn’t even in the height of the restrictions. Terribly disheartening for you both.

Weirder still is after, when they take you up to the ward and himself will have to just say goodbye to you and his new baby. That left me very upset actually.

I’d say if they had given me the option to go home and come back tomorrow I wouldn’t have had the heart to come back,
it’s hard to watch someone trying to be all brave and stoic for you when you know they are upset and feel helpless and left out and not able to help,
well tomorrow is another day , onward and upward…at least it’s a quiet room…for now !

it was probably the porn that made BB think of me, I’m flattered :)

It would probably be best if you stopped posting after partaking of the sacrificial wine.

When are they changing the livery colours? That yellow is pure gank.

      Better than the 80s mustardy/orange.

I always assumed that was a Delboy job-lot they got cheap.

Anything from ’16 on owned by the NTA is getting the new green/yellow livery…so that’s Dublin Bus,Bus Eireann and Go-Ahead all getting the one generic NTA colour scheme.

What a waste of space, surface car parks at an incredible city centre landmark – when policy in most European cities is to locate bus garages on the periphery of cities – this is ridiculous… Guess we should be glad that Dublin Bus are not allowed park up the buses in the middle of O’Connell Street as was once the case…

I’ve missed the earlier comments.. so, can only hope all will be okay Janette.. having babies in Ireland is not what it could be.. as for Broadstone.. a beautiful building (it’s a masterpiece) used as a storage shed. And an entire lane of traffic, at an incredibly busy interchange, removed for no apparent reason.. don’t have your babies in a city where the hospitals are still run by nuns (who hate women) and don’t leave your buses to people who prefer bikes..

The actual station head house is used as offices as the HQ of Bus Eireann; the train shed is at least hosting actual transport vehicles just like it was always designed to.

It wasn’t a great location for a city centre terminus and closed before any of the others – well, North Wall closed earlier but was a special purpose station (ferry passengers)

I have a horn… *cough*… sorry, I have a Hornby railway set with “CIE” logos on a couple of the carriages. I think I was 5 or 6 when I got it for Christmas in the mid 70s.

    Still works.

    The train set still works.

And so does everything else :0p’
