This morning.
Via Independent.ie:
Older and vulnerable people will be first in line for top-up jabs while a programme for vaccinating secondary school pupils is also being considered.
The National Immunisation Advisory Committee will discuss whether booster shots should match the vaccine a person originally received or if they can be mixed.
The plans under consideration at the highest levels of Government are aimed at ensuring people continue to be protected in the winter months when the country is most vulnerable to a virus outbreak.

“ while a programme for vaccinating secondary school pupils is also being considered.”
While in Germany, their vaccine group STIKO are recommending it only be given to adolescents and younger if they have dangerous underlying conditions.
“ …endorse the vaccine for use in children only if they have risk factors given the LACK OF DATA on LONG-TERM effects.”

Giving experimental drugs / vaccines, with no knowledge of long term effects, to teens is beyond bloody stupid.
Would you have your teen vaccinated against HPV?
HPV Vaccines have had years of testing…
They are not comparable.
NEXT!

How long is long term?
I am sorry, but is it just me that thinks the name of the people wanting to jab us all is called STIKO?
There are probably more important things, but I am going to laugh at that all day.
Who says ze Germans have no sense of humour eh? ;)
New restaurant opening in Oslo. Prik. https://andershusa.com/rumors_post/prik/
Might give it a miss.

Lets see what the NIAC recommend before we compare to the STIKO recommendation.
I bet NIAC were still on Windows 7 and are now completely shagged thanks to the “cyberattack of unknown origin!”
STIKO is a fantastic name for a group who make decision about jabbing people with things
I’m surprised they use all-Caps in there reports…
Yep, world messed-up in the first place, now we’re in so many pickles…
‘Offered to’?
In other words – you’re now in the system. You’ll never be considered ‘fully vaccinated’ It’ll be ‘vaccinated pending booster’

Don’t know about you, but I’m old enough to remember when marathon became snickers ;-)
Coming soon, Flu 1.9, flu 2.0, flu 2.1…flu millenials edition and so on.
I remember that too. And CIF was JIF.
There are plenty of Greek Alphabet names to go through to name the various strains that are awaiting naming.

I see what you mean… There’s a word for it but I cant decide if it’s huckstering or huxley-esque.
Either way tis a brave new world we’re facing. ;-)
Unknown long term side effects, pharma companies so scared of the jabs they insist on waivers of responsibility, potential booster shots every six months for life…..sign me up. By the way, Spain has just recommended that anyone who has had the jab should not fly anywhere due to potential blood clotting hazards. Add that to the ever growing list of unknown stuff that’s now come to light.
How long have you been anti-vaxx?
Because you have described most vaccines in your comment.
And evidence for the Spanish recommendation?
He never provides evidence.
I assume the irony of that is lost on him.
He’s probably just Anti-Untested-Vaxx, I don’t think that’s unreasonable.
I’ve had plenty of vaccinations, but won’t have this one.
For most authorised vaccines we do know the long term side effects but these new covid ones we clearly don’t.
The trials end in 2023 so we should have a good understanding of the medium term risks by then.
Also, resorting to silly derogatory insults like “antivax” isn’t helping the discussion.
