I haven’t been to the pale in quite some time, for obvious reasons, but I must say it looks well having all that outdoor seating.
Down here in Cork I think the place looks so much better with the outside tables – I hope it stays long term. It’s great to see life on the streets, and I’d love to see lots of permanent pedestrianisation and weather-adaptable outdoor seating areas like you see on the continent – even in the colder climates.
the Old Stand is my faviouite pub in dublin. small, open plan and great if you can get a window seat to watch world go by.
