“Compliance Is Something That We All Have To Buy Into”

at

This morning.

“Compliance is something that we all have to buy into. Government has to create a framework that’s sensible in terms of a compliance framework and compliance officers working with industry ensure that this is done in a compliant way.”

Taoiseach Micheál Martin this morning.

Taoiseach says public must ‘buy into’ hospitality rules (RTÉ)

Are the “Compliance Officers” armed? Have they powers of arrest? Is Meehole compliant? What is compliancey? Are we all gone effing crazy?

  2. GiggidyGoo

Compliance is exactly what FFG hold dear – to EU instructions. The standard corporation tax rate being the latest cave-in.

      1. GiggidyGoo

Me too. But I’m commenting on the lies and the attempt to give the notion that we’re fighting it, when all along they’re going with the plan.

Taxes aren’t the only thing though as regards compliance. CETA is probably an even worse example of compliance, in order to facilitate foreign business having (for instance) the right to sue a nation.

    Last minute announcement? Check
    Complex rules? Check
    Inexplicable time limit? Check
    Divisive? Check
No advance agreement with agencies responsible for regulating? Check
Draconian penalties, i.e. potential incarceration? Check
‘Self policing’, i.e. no policing? Check

This is how bad government is done folks. The state has lost the plot. Chronic altogether.

before the june bank holiday gone, me and the missis went down for an outside bite and a takeaway pint and sat down on the green outside the pub along with the hundred or so other punters enjoying the balmy evening and a libation. cue the gardai coming over to us and telling us that ‘technically, you’re supposed to bring your pint home with you’.
it was an interesting lesson in how many ways there are to tell a guard to F off without actually telling them to F off.
this is like that, only more so.

hahah by the time you walk home you would have finished the pint, then you’d have to walk back for another one, you’d be fit as a fiddle

Went for a ‘take-away’ pint around the same time. Was told it had to be drank 100 metres from where it was sold. On the same evening at a nearby pub, customers were told they were ‘take-home’ pints and not ‘take-away’ pints.

If there was no confusion, there would be more compliance!

Be dangerous for them alright. Antimask, antivaxx conspiraloons have a reputation for violence.

On January 26, 2021, the European parliamentary assembly voted 115 votes in favor of 2 against 13 abstentions, a bill on COVID that went completely unnoticed in the French media although this law applies to all member states. 2 articles of this law: – resolution 2361 adopted on 28/01 by the Council of Europe stipulates in Articles 7.3.1 that vaccination should NOT be compulsory and that no one should be subject to political, social or other pressure to be vaccinated, if they or she does not wish to do it personally. – Article 7.3.2 stipulates that no one should be discriminated against for not having been vaccinated because of potential health risks or for not wanting to be vaccinated. Meanwhile in the UK,

Owners of Pryzm nightclubs say they won’t ask for vaccine passports after July 19

Nightclub bosses in charge of 42 venues around the country have ruled out asking for vaccine passports at their doors after restrictions end on July 19.

REKOM UK, which owns chains Pryzm, Bar&Beyond, and Fiction among other clubs, will also not require a negative Covid test to enter.

It’s a no brainer and easy now for the Delores and Gemmas of this world to get more publicity . Martin is a gift to the extreme right with this ill thought out nonsense

    1. goldenbrown

      no panic
whatever your viewpoint Mehole is on safe ground with all this “sensible” stuff
himself and Varadker are operating within the gift of a prevailing top notch context, keeping us all safe etc. a dream come true scenario for these lads because they can pretty much say and excuse whatever they want because y’know Global Pandemic

anyway nobody is listening to Litler, Gemma or their likes and 99% of us never will because they’re simply utterly BATS

    2. Micko

What the F is the extreme right? Or the extreme left?

Do we all actually think that they exist in Ireland in any meaningful quantities. Most people couldn’t care less.

We should stop talking about “Gemma” as if she has any real influence here.

      1. Daisy Chainsaw

Yes, stop mentioning Gemma and Dolores who share antivaxx, antimask conspiraloon views because it makes ordinary antivaxx, antimask conspiraloons look bad!

      2. U N M U T U A L

        @micko

The extreme right is anyone who disagrees with Aunt Tifa… obviously! ;-)

The other faction are about one step to the left away from turning full fash, hence the psychological deflection.

    1. Daisy Chainsaw

He’s not the owner, just an employee. His parents own it and he manages it for them…. probably why he’s so angry at everyone all the time.

  7. K. Cavan

Meehaul is just fantastic, I don’t see much of the guy in action, so this is a great watch. Isn’t he a creepy, creepy bloke? An absolute charlatan, too. Between him & Varadker’s dead trout stare…
