I thought that photo of that bloke shoving a lit flare up his hoop had gone out of circulation after the weekend. How wrong I was. My eyes….

The Torygraph complaining about racism aimed at Priti Patel is too much. She is some piece of work. The lunatics have taken over the asylum. Scotland is bound to vote to go it alone if the English are foisting these nutters on them.

You reap what you sow, they say. In this case, Priti Patel is seeing fruits of her labours. This doesn’t make it right – racism is racism – but many will see it as her due.

you need to cut the apron strings and set those lads free !

Too much as in ridiculous. She is not against racism, so playing the victim is a bit rich.

Last minutes of NPHET meetings? 26th May. https://www.gov.ie/en/collection/691330-national-public-health-emergency-team-covid-19-coronavirus/
How many meetings since then have been held, and what minutes are referred to at the start if each meeting?

Where are daily case numbers obtained? From 25th May daily case numbers are based on a data extracted from the Covid Care Tracker.
The HSE Covid Care Tracker (CCT) is the IT system that records the data collected at telephone interviews with the COVID-19 cases and their close contacts. Really? And those interviewees know what variant they have?
And what % of the population has been using the app? How many of them have deleted the app! And this is what NPHET base their ‘figures’ on?

    Current situation in Israel

    https://www.israelnationalnews.com/News/News.aspx/309762

“Nearly 40% of new COVID patients were vaccinated – compared to just 1% who had been infected previously.

.. Health Ministry data on the wave of COVID outbreaks which began this May show that Israelis with immunity from natural infection were far less likely to become infected again in comparison to Israelis who only had immunity via vaccination.”

Vaccine apparently not nearly as effective as was originally claimed. In a sane world, this kind of data would put a halt to the vaccine passport system that’s being imposed upon us.

    1. SOQ

And that is what the likes of Dolores Cahill has been saying all along- it makes sense because they are already talking about vaccine boosters. It also questions this whole six month limit post infection for access to bars and restaurants of course.

      1. Formerly known as @ireland.com

It is known that you can become ill after vaccination. You are less likely to get seriously ill. Have you got those statistics?

What does Ivor the Fat moneymaker say?

        1. SOQ

As above- nearly 40% of new COVID patients were vaccinated – compared to just 1% who had been infected previously- from the Israeli Health Ministry.

    Stigma about IVF?
    Booooo!
My dear wife had no issue, and we both make a point of celebrating that little miracle of science we call IVF when it comes up, and neither of us are in the least self conscious or stigmatised by it. In fact, quite the opposite, as we consciously speak of it in a positive light.

And yes, we have spoken about it together… Of course we have. I wouldn’t pretend to speak on her behalf without knowing where she stood on the matter.

And she’s proud as punch about it! Me too, and we’re very aware of how lucky we were for it to work first time.

Shame on those who do stigmatise it!

that’s great Clamps ! I have a friend on her fifth go and it’s so tough for her.
A lot of the ladies I got talking to in the waiting rooms for scans etc were IVF they didn’t seem to mind volunteering that info and a lot of doctor’s were surprised I wasn’t (must be the grey hair ;))

ah only a few in one wing, us blonds get away with murder

      1. Clampers Outside

I hope it eventually works out for your friend. I’ve a mate too, stopped after six tries.

In our situation we only had the money for one go, and we had a LOT of discussion before hand about whether we’d go again if the first didn’t work.
Obviously we were over joyed it didn’t come to an issue… Phew!

        1. millie bobby brownie

Spoke to a woman just the other day who had two little girls after six tries. She and her husband did it in Prague and apparently its much cheaper, and by doubling it up as a holiday (admittedly much harder at the mo) they had a very positive experience.

The more people who talk about it the better, imo.

    2. Oro

I think the clue is in your answer, the wealthy straights will never say no to evoking a non existent struggle!

    3. Daisy Chainsaw

That’s a bit like saying there’s a stigma about casearaens. I wish a healthy pregnancy to everyone going through IVF and I wish it would happen first go for everyone too.

If I was going to stigmatise her for anything, it would be for falling for the homeopathy scam!

      1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

and yet you do get the too posh to push bs comment, why yes I would rather feel like I have just been in major road traffic accident while I mind a newborn is my usual reply.
