A Limerick A Day

The launch of Minister for Housing Darragh O’Brien’s new housing policy has been delayed to allow for more work on the package of reforms

The people in government say
That a housing plan is on the way
But there’s also a worry
About all the hurry
So that’s their excuse for delay

Hang on!, whats this?, no!, couldn’t be, yep it is!, it’s another new housing minister launching another new housing plan. Brilliant stuff, all the other housing ministers and all the other housing plans gone before were….. whats the word I’m looking for!.

Come on lads… really, are we the people really supposed to believe this tripe all over again for the umteenth time!.

Just goes to show how far removed these entitled political class are from the ordinary folks of this country, I’ll save ye lots of time on the spin doctoring on this one lads, here’s how it’ll turn out.

Not enough houses will be built, that’s a fact.
Not enough controls will be put in place to spare men women and children from being tossed out of their homes.
And ye’ll all fiddle away while the vultures and shady landlords keep ripping both the people and the state off all in one go.

Disgraceful is all ye are in there. Don’t really care and never will, well not until the election rolls around again!.

Ban on evictions and rent increases immediately until the housing stock is actually provided for people to live in, peacefully and without threat of eviction at every turn.
Be brave, ban evictions and ban rent increases, then build build build. Fast forward 9 years later and we could have this solved or we could just roll out another slow slug housing action plan and fiddle away.
Warning, people wont always put up with this fiddling, pull the devil by the tail one too many times and one time…….!.
