A phantom island.
Or was it?
Yes, it didn’t exist.
Or did it?
Stop that.

There should be a second book, this time “Irelands that don’t look like Ireland”
Heh
Great headline.
Must give that another watch. Been a long time.
I watched it not so long ago. I was a bit surprised at how bad it was. ODESSA file and Marathon Man stand up better to the march of time imho. (if one assumes that ‘Nazis on the run in the 60s’ is a linking theme).
Oh really? I loved it when I saw it first.
Maybe the big reveal was more impressive back then.
I’ve never watched Marathon Man. The whole dentist thing always put me off ;)
Don’t worry.
It *IS* safe…
…shudder…
Rule of thumb: Anything with James Mason is worth watching. (especially Odd Man Out, the Norn Iron movie)
Throw in Gregory Peck’s most un-gregory-peck-man-like lines, and its a really unsettling movie.
True about Mason, and now I realise that another reason I think of those three films together is that I always confuse Mason/Jacobi/Olivier (and Olivier is in two of them anyway).
The bit on the dam is still brilliantly horrible.
i watched the odessa file recently – it’s a very decent movie. jon voight actually does a passable german accent too.
…eyes of your eyes… ;-)
