Stop that!

This morning/afternoon.

A protest outside Dáil Éireann, organised by PAEI – Performing Arts Educators of Ireland – seeking clarity over covid restrictions. At present, children can go to the cinema but cannot attend dance or drama classes.

Why are indoor leisure activities like cards, pool and bowling closed? I can sit in a pub swilling pints and spitting in my mates face when talking but a gigantic snooker table is off limits.

Because the Vintner’s, and RAI have a bigger voice.
Gyms are open, yet badminton and squash are not.
I presume indoor basketball is also off the cards.

I really wish the likes of Bridge clubs and men’s sheds etc. could open. It’s taking a terrible toll on older people, who don’t go to pubs and want and really need to socialise for cognition and mental health alone.
