Um.
This afternoon.
Dame Street, Dublin 2.
The Olympia Theatre becomes the 3Olympia Theatre.
Meanwhile…
…don’t touch the stained-glass awning thing…
…Phew.

Da Olympia Treeatre
Three ate her? Olympia?
how about just ‘the olympia’ for short?
In technical terms it’s a leaded fanlight. Now for ya.
I thought a truck already did a number on the glass canopy a few years ago?
Fupp that, fupp the telecoms companies and their huge profits, then throwing it around on stadiums, theaters and relentless advertising. The reason they can pee all this money away on vanity projects like this is because we pay way, way over the top for a basic utility. They should knock it off with the adverts, put the profits back into the service and reward loyal customers with cheaper costs.
bloody communist
Established since one eight four nine
The Olympia considered it fine
To get a sponsor on board
And with what Three can afford
Sold out to the corporate swine.
Haha, it seems you’ve discovered your métier, Fergalito!
I’m a disciple of the great Paulus, Steph.
Oh to touch the hem of his garment!
:)
Oh stop it you old(?) flatterer.
It’s good to have someone to help shoulder the onerous responsibility.
Old enough to watch Bosco the first time around.
A burden shared is a burden halved… :)
Sorry, but that doesn’t rhyme.
I’m out.*
* But if you’re going to make sexy inSINunations about touching other peoples’ personal items then you need to back it up with proof – preferably photos – and that is equally appLICKABLE to Paulus.
Are ye a man or a mouse?
All hail Fergalito the poet
A scribe for our times, you know it!
He’s rhymin for fun
His timing it stuns
And his limerick cup overfloweth
+ 1 for effort.
That’s the spirit POD :)
Horrible
Hopefully the sound reception inside won’t deteriorate to the levels on their telecom service.
I was in it twice. Once as a patron, and once as a performer. Giggidy.
I’d say your widow twanky caused a sensation..
Oh no it didn’t
Sad reflection on the financial state of the arts.
Speaking of theatre, follow the link to a bit of history on various Dublin theatre venues.
“There is no written history about these places because they were commercial institutions. Unlike the Abbey, they didn’t have government funding to help archive their materials, so in a way they were forgotten about”
