Good. I assume they are less than lethal missiles. The time for playing games with these anti Vaxxers / Australia’s Proud Boys is over.

        1. andrew

Actually, wouldn’t it be fun to round up all the antivaxx loons and coral them on the playing field of the Aviva Stadium. Decent citizens could take pot shots at them from the seating area. Aiming for their bums with little vaccine darts. Can imagine the likes of Man on Fire and EMatty waddling around as fast as their podgy little legs could carry them trying in vain to avoid the KILLER VACCINE. I’d pay top dollar for the fun of it.

          1. SOQ

Everybody who has concerns about an experimental injection with no long term safety data is clearly an ‘anti vax loon’ so. From pharmaceutical companies who insisted on indemnity for four years for absolutely no reason then?

Rather than stupid goading on the internet, I suggest you actually start to use the brain power that God gave you- and start to think for yourself.

          2. E'Matty

ah, wouldn’t you fit in well in the colosseum cheering on the lions? You guys have really let your true colours show. Besides, I’ve lovely strong fit biker legs. No podge here pal. I suspect none of you slanty eyed folk could hit us even if we stood still though…

          3. Gorgi

Id say you’d become really angry if you couldn’t get all those specific details just right. If the darts hit their thigh for instance, instead of their,, bums,, all hell would break loose

  2. GiggidyGoo

Brave police eh. Guns against civilians. Their own country’s people. We had that kind of police brutality in Northern Ireland for years, and where did it get them?

      1. GiggidyGoo

        And again
Yeah – I saw a lot of them in the video above. Easily identifiable with their Proud Boys tee-shirts.
        Not

Sara doesn’t have to give any thought to any matter. She’s been simply supplied with a few tags to roll out whenever something disagrees with her programming.

    Ah come on lads

No matter where you land on the whole “anti- whatever” bit, scenes like this are very worrying.

    No?

      1. Fergalito

        Absolutely.

Element here on both sides (I know, I know it’s not binary) that are dragging reasonable discussion into the mire. It’s all a bit medieval, maces and bludgeoning clubs always at the ready.

But hey, that’s the Internet right? The safe place to allow your inner C U Next Tuesday emerge. Fabulous. Suits you sir etc….

    1. freewheeling

      yes.
the disgusting “they had it coming” rhetoric of some on here was the rallying cry of everyone on the wrong side of history. if you don’t listen to people, but shoot at them instead, both “sides” loose in the end.

      1. Fergalito

Was it on here I saw the Herzog quote about America turning into Nazi Germany and one third of people watching on as the other third decimate the remaining third? How apt, how prescient how thoroughly depressing…

    2. goldenbrown

      yes

Aus always seemed to be a bit on the spectrum for me though…I remember watching some series (can’t remember name, think it was a Sky yoke) in the late ’90’s/early 00’s about their Border Patrol antics…and feeling very queasy

      1. Micko

        Hehehe

I used to watch that too- secret shame. ;-)

“Listen mate – Ye can’t bring a live Turtle into the country in yer suitcase there cobber. Now that’ll be a 900 Australian dollars fine. ”

“What ya mean you don’t have 900 dollars mate? Well, get in the back of the van so!”

        1. Steph Pinker

I won’t go in to detail; but a former rugby player was carted off while walking through an Australian airport for not declaring an apple he was eating – even though the apple was included as part of his meal while on the flight to Australia on an Australian airline.

If he’d already eaten it, could he be classed as a mule? Or maybe an ass for not being aware of Australia’s world famous authoritarian measures of which they’re so proud.

          .

Our own thugs tried it on here too: At one Dáil protest some were seen to be wearing Kevlar gloves and one counter protestor had her head split open with a pole. The ‘heavy detail’ was directed by a former member of the British army and French foreign Legion. They are crying out for aggro.

        1. Bitnboxy

From anyone else GiggidyGums – you’re a perma-angry toothless auld lad with more chips on his shoulder than that aul chip van you used to work in many moons ago.

          Sheesh.

          1. Man On Fire

Bittybooboo making zero sense and coming across extra insecure, do you lament the beatings being metted out to your colleagues?

  5. eamonn

As I look at the preparation for urban warfare article of earlier, now I look at the news above.

Am not liking the increasingly heavy handed attitudes I am seeing.

  6. SOQ

The lengths some people will go to justify the boot boys of the state eh? The state of some of the comments here.

The Australian police are doing themselves no favours whatsoever. Even in Paris they have enough sense to know not to aggravate the situation.

And you still think it’s just about a virus eh?

    1. V aka Frilly Keane

So what exactly is it about then

      Like exactly

      Don’t say do the research
      I won’t
And don’t say join the dots
Or plug in loads of links, as I won’t touch your links

      So in your own words
What is it really about, exactly.
      Ta. V

    2. E'Matty

One could ask what would it actually take to convince the normie types that there is a very serious and dark global agenda playing out before their very eyes? It’s illuminating just how easy it is to turn what may have been perfectly normal people even 18 months ago into the raving bootlicker types above revelling in and filled with delight at watching heavy handed police tactics being used on unarmed civilians protesting.

  7. George

Reports say projectiles such as golf balls, taps, and batteries were being thrown at police and that they responded with non-lethal weapons.

  8. eamonn

does it not seem a little bit insane that all this is caused by an illness, some vaccines(some say work, others say don’t) and some who choose not to take said vaccines.
Once upon a time the vaccines were pitched as a silver bullet to this werewolf of a plague, it seems this particular werewolf is silver bullet proof. ultimately it is about a difference of opinion, and the belief some hold, that they do actually get to make choices for others.
That, as they say is mad ted
    strange days indeed

  9. Micko

This reminds me of that Bill Hicks bit about a “war being when ‘TWO’ armies are fighting. “. :-)

If one side has rocks and the other side has weapons and tactical gear, it’s not really a fair fight now is it?
