This morning.
Usk Little townland, county Kildare
Inspector John Fitzgerald (top at microphone) from Kildare Garda station briefing media at a wooded area near Usk Little in relation to investigations into the disappearance of women in the Leinster, Deirdre Jacob and Jo Jo Dullard. Gardai are searching the area after they claimed credible information emerged during ongoing murder investigations.

I wonder what revelations about the Gardai are about to come out?
Maybe something to do with that drug dealer with the celebrity buddies perhaps?
I might be cynical but it seems a big media circus ensues and out comes the diggers at certain junctures.
Genuine question – when did the diggers last come out prior to a Gardaí related shock-horror revelation?
They’re not deploying all of these resources just to dig up a random field surely? Maybe i’m naive … it’s very possible … but it seems like a cruel gambit on the part of the Gardaí to willfully mislead the families of these missing persons by pretending they’ve found a lead?
Trevor Deely and Tina Satchwell. There were revelations about Garda behaviour around the same time they randomly did digs that came to naught. So maybe I am being cynical but one has to wonder.
Always some anonymous tip off. Now it is entirely possible that these two digs and the revelations were down to coincidence but I have to wonder. It’s quite possible I am being over cynical of course but AGS have not covered themselves in glory in the past.
Same with Noirin O Sullivan and Philip Cairns..
Strokestown and Rainod Murray..
Good spots, I knew there were others but couldn’t remember them. I think 4 indicate a clear pattern of using families grief as a smokescreen.
Drew Harris is very familiar with psy ops from his time as head of RUC, this is corroborated by Colin Wallis and the Smithwick tribunal.
…there is a long dead prison offices son waiting in the wings,or some distant ‘relatives ‘ of the disappeared (mostly touts and traitors) ,teary eyed on misty beach’s….if only they can find a few bones….i would be at peace…thats all we are asking from SF…if Mary Lou can just do one thing……..
last month the ST,also reported searching a field in Kildare for Deirdre Jacob.
Speculative waffle
Of course its speculative, hence me mentioning more than once that it might just be my over developed cynicism.
You’ll tire yourself out with that stuff
You’re not wrong Poor oul divil.
It’s one of those occasions where I hope I am just being a curmudgeonly, grumpy old cynic.
Go with your instincts Ian..
…just a well John is not a single mum from Finglas with a few wraps, her pictures be all over the papers.
-On Saturday, John enjoyed a fitting farewell party at the Aviva, surrounded by hundreds of friends, colleagues and family.
-His dad, John Snr, the famous former chief of detectives in Dublin, was in attendance as was Commissioner Fachtna Murphy.
Others there for the joint retirement and 50th birthday were long-time friends from the world of showbiz including U2’s Larry Mullen, Lisa Murphy and Gerald Kean.
Good friends Anne Doyle and her partner Dan McGrattan were also there.-

Love the new Garda Roadcaster, I wonder are they giving out t-shirts…..
“Let’s do a big press conference in the field. The optics will be great.”
Paul Reynolds going over his detailed instructions from AGS including the questions they provided him to ask them.
He’s also trying to pronounce macchiato, its one of the detectives favourites and Paul has been known to mess up their coffee orders a few times.
Is that because it sounds like macho?
Ralph Macchiato.
