Virginia Governor-elect Glenn Youngkin opposed vaccine and mask mandates

Last night/this morning.

Via Reuters:

Republicans won the Virginia governor’s election and were within striking distance in New Jersey on Wednesday, a warning that President Joe Biden’s Democrats are in trouble heading into next year’s congressional elections.

Glenn Youngkin, a former private equity executive who surged in the polls in the Virginia campaign’s final weeks, beat Democratic former Governor Terry McAuliffe, CNN and NBC projected. Youngkin declared victory in a speech before ebullient supporters, while McAuliffe did not publicly concede…..

…In New Jersey’s closer-than-expected governor race, Republican challenger Jack Ciattarelli and incumbent Democrat Phil Murphy were locked in a virtual draw, even though registered Democratic voters outnumber Republicans by more than 1 million. Democrats clung to hope because more votes were due to be counted in their strongholds.

With the same political faction that think Trumps is still president and who are so opposed to any action wahtsoever to mitigate the effects of a global pandemic that has killed millions that they have passed laws making it illegal to do so? Yeah.

The states – mid Atlantic and New England are all in a post COVID world,it’s really really not a political issue,in that in did not define any the elections, masks and vaccines “debates” over mandates are just red herrings, amplified by the extreme right wing and kooks who want destabilize society, move to Haiti.

I was locked in my basement for days watching Escape From New York, after been assured 10,000 cops were not showing up Monday by their unions…its all so oh no do I have explain reality,no cops were quitting, people really don’t discuss other people’s nor question their health choices in states,at least not in my world,no one cares…..if your job requires it,lots dodgy religious exemptions or get a new one, labor shortage here.

New Jersey’s race had been shaping up to be a close call for the past week.

I don’t think masks are so much an issue because while they serve no real purpose, they tend to act as a reassurance to certain types of people.

Mandatory vaccinations and passports however are a very different matter. They are primarily a Democrat initiative and are very unpopular, even in places like NYC.

do you have anything other than songs and distractions to offer?

Johnny is right SOQ you really have no idea what you’re talking about. You’re just making statements with no context or proof and presuming that’s sufficient proof. How would you know anything about public mood on the ground in NY anyway?

Your deluded little anecdote about ‘creative types’ (groan) moving to Florida (lol) last week really took the cake. You just make comments using elements of right wing current favs (Florida) and associate them with a concept of left wing and hope that nobody would question it for a second. It’s gas.

    do your own research….
    präpəˈɡandə
your ‘coverage’ of US politics is beyond the fringe Bodge, its childlike, illinformed and extremely unbalanced,R’s winning the Va statehouse is a much.much bigger story, but carry on…. WWG1WGA.
    part 2 .

    “Tiger Intel
    @TigerInteI
Worth mentioning, the votes yet to be counted largely come from traditionally Democrat areas, so I’ll be surprised if the Republicans keep a lead.”

(Va was a gimme,he was a plant,a has been running an out dated campaign, kinda ruins that narrative as it was close too:)

    2. V aka Frilly Keane

However Youngkin himself went there in the final 24 hours of the campaign
He may have ran a campaign to suggest he was a moderate Republican, but didn’t hesitate to slide down into what Trump Republicans wanted to hear before the polling stations opened
Yep. Glenn Younkin, for all the miles of high moral ground he covered throughout his campaign, in the last lap he walked the Voter / Count Fraud tis rigged talk.

      That said
The Democrats ran a lazy campaign
Running one of the ould boys, again
      A lazy selection
Instead of headhunting, investing in and getting in behind a new bright young thing
The Democrats messed up this race
      All by themselves

America wants new Candidates to elect
Not worn out faded party hacks
      NY Boston Virginia prove that
