I have been saying that from day one. Pretty sure if you done an analysis of the people who were and are in favour of restrictions, you would find it is mainly those who have benefited from it.

There is a huge class element to this whole thing, which is why the Left in other countries have become so mobilised.

Western Australia Premiere Mark McGowan holds a press conference, Nov 1st:
    https://www.facebook.com/SkyNewsAustralia/videos/435667314592514/

“Our hospitals are under enormous pressure. This is the same in Tasmania, South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland and Victoria. Enormous pressure. This is, uh, something no one has ever seen before, uh, the growth in demand in our hospitals. Uh,why it is, is hard to know, uh, except that there is some, uh, evidence that some sort of delayed reaction to Covid. Uh, but there are, uh, huge, uh, numbers of people coming through the door so we’re doing everything we can to try and manage it”

Delayed reaction to Covid? Hmmm sounds legit.

Meanwhile, an Australian registered nurse offers an alternative perspective in an interview by Australian news reporters at a protest against vaccine mandates by healthcare workers outside the offices of Australian news channel, Channel 9.

“RN: We are on the verge of losing our jobs. We are too young to retire. We don’t even know where we stand. Apparently from the ABC news last night 100 South Australian healthcare workers were being stood down. I don’t think so. Try 3000. That’s just in Adelaide alone. This is not ok because we want to do what we love doing and that is caring for the South Australian community. We are passionate and we would not be here if we weren’t..

Reporter: I read online that you’re all being asked to respectfully take leave at the moment?

RN: We have been given so many different stories, we don’t know what’s going on. We hope that our entitlements get approved up until the 4th of November. The next power of emergency gets turned over – probably for another 2-4 weeks. We know this is ongoing. We know this is planned. We’re not stupid. The hospitals are not full of Covid patients. The hospitals are full of vaccinated patients. OK? I’ve got friends that work in ICU ..30 out of 38 patients currently are vaccinated. The media is..I’m sorry but respectfully to the media: Please start telling the truth and please help us help you because you are all targeted. Every single person is targeted.

Reporter: As a registered nurse, are you seeing people in hospital being treated for vaccination issues?

RN: Yes. Serious adverse effects. And we’re talking 20 year olds. We talking 20 year olds that have dropped dead. Nothing is getting on the media…

Something is up for sure- Australia’s CoVid-19 numbers are relatively low so- the demand is coming from something else.

Just reading about what happened there to that lady.

What happened to her and the harassment she went through should never have happened and it was an absolute attempt to cancel her for “wrong think”.

I see that she’s an authority on this subject of sexuality and the author of several books.

Her ideas should have been listened to and debated in a mature manner. She is not some loony on Twitter. She’s an expert.

Thats something that is unbelievably wrong in our society and something that I hope we will leave behind soon.

That being said, she shouldn’t have resigned.

If she is going to pop her head above the parapet, she should of had the resolve to stick to her guns and position.

“Should have had” or “should’ve had”. Never “should of had”.
        Apologies for pedantry.
You’re arguement is well articulated but “should of” appalls me.

Wonderful police work in Australia, it’s so rare that a child is found alive and well after being kidnapped.

    1. Fergalito

Yeah, heart warming alright – hope she wasn’t harmed.

The thread running through the movie Twelve Monkeys where the Bruce Willis character knowa a lost boy is going to be found came to mind. I guess it’s that kinda vibe, currently.

For sure, it’s a relief that she was found and the cops acted so swiftly.
It’s not quite the ‘happy ending’ that the media is reporting it as – because it was still an abduction. Parents will be even more stressed about their children’s safety.

The first anti-viral pill for the treatment of Covid-19 has been approved for use in the UK.

Molnupiravir is for people who have had a positive Covid test and have at least one risk factor for developing severe illness, such as obesity, being over the age of 60, diabetes or heart disease.

The UK’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) said the drug is safe and effective at reducing the risk of hospital admission and death in people with mild to moderate Covid who are at extra risk from the virus.

    So that’s some nice news.
