          I drew the above comparison because Sara (much like yourself) is swept up the the type of populist nonsense that dehumanizes people into caricatures that it’s easy to pour scorn on. You engage in this behavior constantly, you label people as “ratlickers” or “Conspiraloons” and make sweeping assumptions about peoples place on the political spectrum as well as cruel jibes about their level of intelligence.

          And still, you feel you have the moral high ground. You must be joking.

          I don’t give a damn about people choosing to get vaccinated, their body their choice (sound familiar to you at all?) but the same goes for me also. You just assume anyone who hasn’t been vaccinated is up to their eyes in conspiracy theories and right wing white supremacy groups or whatever brush you want to tar people with today.

          Daisy, enjoy your vaccines, I’m happy without thank you. I won’t be out in pubs or restaurants spreading covid as you’d like to assume, I’ll be avoiding the populist mobs of blinkered people like you for as long as possible.

        Their site says they’re ‘an advocacy group and aspiring media outlet’, to whit they have their own pay to use social media app ($5.50 a month or $44 a year).

        If that doesn’t appeal you could buy one of their t-shirts ($44), hoodies ($69.99) or maybe a beanie ($33).

        If your business practices align with their ideals then you can pay them $3.30 a month, or $29 a year, to be listed on their site.

        Failing all of that you can set up a one-off or recurring monthly donation.

        The grift is the point, always.

    Part of the problem is that Australians are suffering from lockdown fatigue- they locked down way to early and way to extreme. They also appear to have an excessive number of little tyrants running around and some of the police have acted like knuckle dragging thugs.

    But I expect that like most other places, including Ireland, despite having squandered billions, they have not increased their hospital capacity by one iota- which is at best, governmental and/or public service incompetence and at worst, barefaced corruption.

        Giving millions to a lad to secure ventilators. The same lad who used to work in the IDA, who at the time ran a media company who had never (obv) procured medical equipment before AND had only set up the new medical part of his biz ROQU a few weeks before.

        And of course you can be sure if the examiner never broke the story, we never would have heard anything.

    Australia is a bit of a police state and always has been so I’m not surprised by the extreme reaction by the state. The Aussies like to think their a “have fair go mate” kind of place when their anything but.
