Outdoor dining remains among the last vestiges of civility left for the unjabbed.
Very continental altogether, but can it last Winter?

In fairness, that vegan food is no protection against the cold. Weakens the immune system. Guaranteed underlying causes by the time they’re in ICU.
A good chicken curry and they might have a chance. Chili Con Carne is effective too I believe.
all the vegan stuff has the 5g in it.
the last vestiges of civility left for the unjabbed AND the jabbed who don’t agree with ‘papers please’ discrimination- because authoritarian control affects not only the exclusion of the unvaccinated, but also the control of the vaccinated too.
Papers Please is a great game btw. The video game I mean.
^ This is why we need SlainteCare to reduce the waiting lists. In the meantime: “Nurse, the screens!”
Snipe away- most people are at best uncomfortable with this BS.
If it is so popular then make it voluntary and see how many businesses implement it.
Do you carry ‘papers’?
No- I frequent a better class of establishment.
Snipe away- most people are at best uncomfortable with this BS
I don’t know anyone who is uncomfortable with it. I’m thoroughly enjoying being out and about again.
It’s simple.
Get vaccinated and have your lunch / pints inside. Risk catching / passing on a mild flu-like illness
Don’t get vaccinated and have your lunch / pints outside. Risk ending up in ICU
Or get a few cans of Dutch Gold and sit at home whingeing on the internet about it
There is a certain type of person who enjoys the ‘exclusivity’ yes- we know who they would have been back in the day.
As for ending up in the ICU- I’ll take my chances. Better than being on the pharma merry go jab for the rest of my life anyways.
The chance of a healthy middle aged man like myself ending up in hospital, never mind ICU, is only 0.023%.
You haven’t a clue about the risk involved.
I bet your woman to the left has a load of quiches in that Avoca bag (only €17.99 a slice).
Ah here- best lunch in Dublin is Avoca at Newlands Cross- try the chick pea roll.
“Newlands Cross?”
Rathcoole.
You’d never get €17 for a fancy breakfast roll of mad-looking peas with a bit of lettuce in Newlands Cross. Belgard Road, mate. Circle K job.

@SOQ
…I dunno SOQ,
Who remembers this?
the Aramark Corporation

you mean aside from running
prison campsdirect provision centres for asylum seekers? You need lots of cash i do phoca
when you’re goin’ to Avoca.
yet I believe them to be the same group who feed families muck in plastic bags ( plates to pricey I suppose…cuts too far into their profit ) in direct provision

Respiratory illness doing the rounds, not a good idea to keep people outside in the winter.
This is so stupid it defies belief.
Many fully vaccinated people are still outside as well due to brainwashing.
Nono Jono – Breathing in fresh air can help to reduce airborne illness and infection. This is because bacteria and viruses have a reduced chance of survival in fresh air. This is in comparison to warm, humid, indoor environments in which they thrive.
tks Bodger, lovely photos. i think we are a great interesting looking people. eat quickly, keep your jacket on and you will be grand.
An excuse to wear me fur coat
Are you implying that you’re unvaccinated, V?
Anyway, the fur coat will wear you and there’ll be no photographers – still interested?

That post of yours is doing a lot of work there Ben
in your order
I am, but won’t be taking the booster or the flu top ups
We’ll see, and don’t care
Yep, don’t get to wear it very often – tis Vintage, and conditions need to be just right, mostly not dry enough or cold enough. So first chance I get
@V : Such filth
Indeed.

Tis older than me
So not sure farms were involved
The above scenes are not necessarily representing the barring of the unvaccinated. Plenty of this al fresco socialising goes on in countries with similar winter climates – and well before Covid. The winter markets of Germany were and are full of it. For too long, Irish people have shirked at ‘the cold’ of the winter air, when in fact it has always been healthier to wrap up and gather outdoors for a warm drink. Businesses are finally facilitating this.
+V
Totally. Utterly. Every other country in Europe has this. Most of them colder than Ireland. So many Irish people are such Snowflakes, afraid of a bracing bit of cold air. It’s good for you.
