Escape From Covitz

at

Strewth.

Howard Springs quarantine facility, Northern Territory, Australia.

Via Unherd:

Hayley Hodgson, 26, moved to Darwin from Melbourne to escape the never-ending lockdowns — only to find herself locked up in a Covid Internment Camp without even having the virus.

She says:

“You literally get put on the back of a golf buggy with your bags. And these people are in hazmat suits and everything. They don’t want to come near you because they think you’re infectious. And they literally drop you to your room. And they leave you. They don’t come and say anything, they don’t check up, they don’t do anything. You get delivered your meals once a day. And you are just left.”

Meanwhile…

That is insane, but I’m sure there’s plenty here creaming their pants at the thought of getting it brought in here

+1 What you have to realize, as the key to engaging with this, is that the Western World has gone insane over Covid. Think of it as a mental condition, e.g. OCD – “no one’s safe till we’re all safe” being the phrase that exemplifies this collective mental-state delusion we are all living under. Got to get every last covid carrier vaccinated, and stop every new variant coming into the world? Never gonna happen! How is *everyone* ever safe? Lunacy.

Unfortunately people undergoing a Mass Psychosis, fuelled by fear, don’t hear reason.

How do you de-radicalise a population? Especially when the (for now) pseudo reality is a vague malaise and ambient fear of a virus. The actual reality is something far darker – its a tough sell.

Start by asking people – collectively, or one-by-one – questions…lots of questions, directed ones.
A delusion only gets deconstructed when the person themselves uncovers the contradictions in their own mind of the falsehood they are living under. You assist them in that by asking the questions that lead them to their own discovery of it.
          Good luck!

I don’t know about the darker stuff
            but I can tell you
that this state of play 110% suits zombie found-out Governments of fragile tenure
who can continue to ignore actual bread n butter issues avoiding all notions of change
the exaggerated televised war room disaster management the daily hand wringing hoovering up all airtime
a continuance of the same old rope but without fear of protest or interference by a bet down population kept busy “keeping safe”
don’t be surprised when they try to push the button on water charges again for example while we’re all wrapped up in the omg disaster p0rn, you heard it here first

Sounds like an episode from the barrier
Mind you apparently she was caught telling pork pies

Australia is a far cry from Ireland
Bar a few hick ups they have dealt with covid a hell of a lot better than us

    Crazy times.

There’s many people who will see nothing wrong with this and would carry out orders like this just because someone in a position of authority told them to.

Exactly, CB, and their rationalisation would include excuses such as just doing their job; having a modest role; a small cog in a larger wheel; only dealing with train timetables and technical aspects of evacuation transports while aiding and assisting, as opposed to facilitating oppression.

I’m glad that the Australians are taking it seriously. How many other people have to die before this person starts to take it seriously? She is obviously being made an example of, but she only has herself to blame. First of all she should have got a test once she heard her friend had covid — and by hiding the fact that she did not she acknowledges that she should have, but couldn’t be arsed. Second of all, she should not have lied to the police. By lying to the police about something with such serious consequences (eg death) for other people, she showed that she was both reckless and capable of deception. There have to be consequences for that, in any society.

Good man Kevin. When you go to all the sport sport sport sport games over the weekend make sure to convey that among the thousands of clustered fans shouting coughing sneezing and spitting at everyone and everything over a lump of leather.
Moronic Virus has already killed any rational behaviour.

      Insane In The Membrane!

I’ll be going to the pub, and going out with my friends, just like every normal person, Johnny. But I’m fully vaccinated — I note everyone was too polite to ask our Long Kesh ‘victim’ here what her vaccine status is — and even still if anyone I’ve been with tests positive I’ll be self-isolating until I get a negative test myself. This is what actually happened to me a couple of weeks ago, btw — I hot footed it into Boots, took an antigen test, it came back negative, so I was good to go.

        It’s really very simple.

How dare you exhibit the symptoms of being able to coldly analyse your situation and decide what’s best for you as opposed to rely on what some gobspoo said on Twitter or YouTube Kevin

Men in the world wars faced death, running into hails of bullets. Kevin here thinks people should be locked away in camps, just in case he might catch a cold.

“Second of all, she should not have lied to the police”

      Wha Kevin?

      That’s half the fun sure

It’s one of the reasons I never got a tattoo.

As George Carlin used to say “A tattoo is a sign of positive identification and no one should EVER do anything to help the police!”

      -)
