I’d say there is. But it’s a mixed bag.

People feel differently. I was out with a pal last night and we were talking about the thousands of no shows.

My opinion was that it was caused by general hesitancy.

His opinion was that people were just waiting for a booster that dealt with the Omicron variant, coz they thought it would be out soon. And why would you get one now.

That way of looking at it had never even dawned on me.

Now that BioNTech announced yesterday that a third booster CAN protect people from Omicron, probably a lot more will come forward.

Perhaps that’s even the reason for the crowds today.

I’m inclined to believe that there never was hesitancy; just administrative problems. Many received appointments for different vaccination centres.

          Really? Do ya think.

Judging from a few of the comments in here, I would say it’s a mixed bag.

Possibly the majority may be as you say though. I don’t know.

Was there administrative problems with the 70+ age groups?

Will be interesting see what happens when we get into the younger age groups.

But the possibility of their pass going red, might shake any hesitancy right out of them quick smart. ;-)

          Evidently the HSE cannot cope
Suddenly after a report that I have not heard about is the result of why the mayhem is happening today

90 odd thousand did not turn up last week 210 thousand did not turn up on Tuesday
Micky mouse martin Steven Humpty Dumpty Donnelly lying through there back teeth
Suddenly stepping up to the plate today and they cannot cope
You just could not make it up

Evidently their lies are not even thought out

Via an agency, I worked on a national HSE recruitment campaign four years ago. All applications were in soft copy uploaded to a website.

The HSE insisted that every application was then printed out- with qualifications, certs etc, up to twenty pages long- and then taxied half way across the country in cases.

When I suggested we just keep in soft copy and transfer across an encrypted SFTP, I was told by the agency that the printing out was where the money was being made.
