I contacted the Central Statistics Office for information on actual C-19 Deaths with no other illnesses during 2020, I am very surprised to see only 61 people died during this time! We destroyed our economy, businesses, social lives and livelihoods, seriously?

Anyone?

The majority of people would have some other “illness” in the general population. Obesity, diabetes and a million other things. It doesn’t mean they are expected to die within 12 months.

        1. K.Cavan

What is your assertion that most people are ill based on, tom2? Yes, obesity is a problem & the number of fatties around disguises the fact that someone who’s obese is seriously ill, in turn, most of the Type 2 Diabetes is linked to obesity. Where your sweeping generalisation falls flat on its face is “a million other things”, eh?
The mean age of Covid victims, in Ireland, was a year-and-half past our Average Life Expectancy. No matter how you try to slice it & dice it, Covid did not kill young, healthy people, whereas the gene therapy injections did.

      2. Jeffrey

A third of Irish people have an underlying condition. And wtf has happened to Broadsheet, amazing, now a bastion of anti vaxxers, anti science when it once looked to be a beacon of the left and of no nonsense bs. Oh well, should have seen it coming!

    1. Doxxy Chainsaw

The other deaths don’t count. They were old, or sick, or vulnerable so who cares. Natural wastage that prevented us from going to the pub for 2 years.

      1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

Daisy it’s so offensive to the people who’s lively hoods are in ruins and there’s worse off than me to trot out that pub line.
I couldn’t give a fupp if I never went to a pub again, but I want the job I worked hard for back and it’s paycheck. I want my parents confidence back and the years this has taken off their lives while keeping them ” safe “. I want my friend’s son back who hung himself. I could go on . Don’t belittle the real consequences of this lockdown (s) , you’re better than that.

          1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

I couldn’t give a fupp about football either, petty tribalistic over rated over paid poop.

          2. K.Cavan

The Washington Post, you gotta be kidding? That rag is officially owned by Jeff Bezos but it’s a CIA operation. It’s not a newspaper it’s a spookpaper.
            LMAO!

        1. Hank

          +1.
I can see the effects that the past couple of years of limited mobility, reduced social interactions and the constant, unrelenting doom and gloom drip feed of fear-porn from RTE has had on my own parents and it’s very sad to see.

        2. Doxxy Chainsaw

What’s really offensive is handwaving away by some gowl of over 6 thousand deaths as nothing. We’ve all lost people we loved dearly and I know too many people who’ve lost their livelihoods and I resent the implication that by supporting the measures that I don’t care about them. Underlying conditions are something as inconsequential to lifestyle as thyroid, asthma, blood pressure and minor, every day ailments that affect hundreds of thousands in this country, so it’s a disgusting insult to the families and friends of the many thousands in Ireland who died “with/from/of” covid that their deaths were somehow inevitable so shutting down the country was a waste of time.

          1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

thank you for elaborating, that’s not what you managed to communicate in your previous comment.

          2. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

I don’t believe inevitable, I don’t believe vulnerable people got the right support at all, example : nursing homes.

          3. Johnny-ny.

….it’s hard compete with your turn of phrase and elegant writing, the style and punctuation, clearly highly educated.

          4. Chris

‘so shutting down the country was a waste of time.’ It was, a John Hopkins study has just said the very same thing with lockdowns only preventing 0.2% of deaths. Effective early treatments would have saved 80%+, but no – the propaganda said ‘horse paste’ – and idiots like yourself agreed.

            https://nationalpost.com/news/world/johns-hopkins-university-study-covid-19-lockdowns

Of course, you’ll keep peddling your falsehoods – even as the instigators of the narrative, reveal they were fooling you all along. What is a fool that won’t admit they’re foolishness? A colossal idiot! Go ahead, take a bow.

        1. Janet, dreams of an alternate universe

Hank you may as well repeat that comment for the answer you got above there….sorry to hear that about your folks.

    2. K.Cavan

Dave, if your “health is vulnerable” any of the four endemic Coronaviruses, the Influenza virus, & a host of others that will give healthy people a cough, will kill you. Everybody knows this, nobody actually ever dies from “old age”. Understand?

      1. K.Cavan

Feargananim, Dr Campbell may very well have misinterpreted something or other but scientists, politicians & medical professionals have deliberately lied throughout this globalist coup. For example, Luke O’Neill appeared on Newstalk to announce that “boosters” would give “two to three years” of immunity.
Now, unless he had access to time travel technology, he couldn’t have known that, so he was lying. As you know, I’m sure, the Vulcan Academy of Science has determined that time travel is impossible.

  1. Cui Bono?

Yep, it’s the biggest overreaction of all time. We knew in early 2020 that covid was nowhere near as bad as the ridiculous models estimated. Over-counting, false labelling as covid deaths, flawed high cycle PCR testing, and fear mongering from the media created a mass hysteria in the fearful population.

Everyone needs to start asking why most governments pushed ahead with restrictions on our lives. The politicians weren’t even afraid. The madness is getting worse across Europe too.

    1. Micko

“ Everyone needs to start asking why most governments pushed ahead with restrictions on our lives.”

Was the bleedin piles and piles of cash politicians were able to put out of the economy for themselves and their pals who received doggy tenders and contracts like Tic Tacs perhaps, along with the media who just loved all of us at home, terrified to death constantly watching the fear porn news in the most macabre way, constantly looking at the “death figure” and comparing countries, in the worlds most perverse game of Top Trumps, all the while consuming Netflix and other media streaming services like never before, while millions of unmarked Amazon Prime and Just Eat delivery vans made their way to our homes passing each other like ships in the night. Christ. They never had it so good.

      Yup, final answer Chris…

      1. Johnny-ny.

Can you direct me to the “economy” I’d like make a withdrawal.

WTF is this,a word salad ?

… Was the bleedin piles and piles of cash politicians were able to put out of the economy for themselves and their pals who received doggy tenders and contracts like Tic Tacs perhaps, along….

        Try harder,be better.

The exchequer runs a defecit, don’t worry the bills are coming soon, just look at the contraction in the United Kingdom.

        1. Micko

Lad who can’t type English properly pulls me up for using the wrong word. Cool.

          While I have ya J-Dawg.

          Seriously though, what’s the deal?

          I have formulated some ideas

          a) You have a phobia of grammar?
          b) You do it to be cool?
          c) You do it to annoy people?
          d) You are lazy?
          e) The Caps Lock / Shift, apostrophe and Spacebar keys do not work on your keyboard?
          f) You are an idiot?

          Try harder,be better indeed.

        2. johnny-ny.

help me here Micko, treat me im stoned all the time, what do you mean here?

“Was the bleedin piles and piles of cash politicians were able to put out of the economy for themselves”

have you tried decaf, this does not make any sense, its a bit hysterical and hyperbolic, what cash when from where the ‘economy’ bag ?

Ventilators – never arrived – 14.1 million spent.
Sourced by a company that was previously a media company.
            With no medical equipment background.
That was set up in early 2020.
By a bloke who used to work in the IDA.
That had two employees – him and his accountant.

Who signed off on that one eh?

            Jobz for de Boyz…

“Was the bleedin piles and piles of cash politicians were able to put out of the economy for themselves..”

they have been stealing ventilators through a front company, then flipping them?

is that where they get the piles and plies of cash, through a ventilator front company, like OH MY GOD.

          3. Micko

Sorry Johnny, I’m afraid there are no official published links to how corrupt politicians have currently been raking muulah during Covid.

I’m sure that will be a matter for future tribunals.

But, as all the previous investigations throughout the years have shown that money “was just resting in their accounts”. ;p

Or in the case of a former Taoiseach – he didn’t even have a bank account!!!

Is it that you’d just argue with your shadow or are you actually that gullible that career politicians wouldn’t be out to make money for themselves?

          4. johnny-ny.

ah the 70’s and 80’s you miss them a lot, huh?

    2. K.Cavan

Because, Cui Bono, the Pandemic represented a unique opportunity to reinvent & reimagine our world.

  2. ken m

ah the auld “they deserved to die ” argument. I’ve a dodgy foot, if i died from covid, that would be classed as a another illness. Obviously ridiculous you think but i’ve had people ask me why i was out and about and not isolating during the pandemic as if my disability was a factor. Shame on those who think people who are sick or ill have no right to a safe environment and don’t deserve to live

    1. Chris

‘Shame on those who think people who are sick or ill have no right to a safe environment and don’t deserve to live’ – And have you actually encountered many that feel this way? I mean, apart from the Government that shoved positive cases into nursing homes. Denied early treatment protocols & recommended Midazolam in high doses. ‘A good death’ as UK’s health minister Matt Hancock described.

    2. K.Cavan

Do you know what a strawman argument is, ken m? If you do, stop using them, if not, look it up. You’re exposing yourself to ridicule with your nonsense.
Sorry about your foot, man, but I don’t think constantly shoving it into your mouth will improve things.

  3. John

The profound selfish ignorance of the original Tweeter pushing the same toxic narrative of BS has enabled the usual commentators here to display their selfish stupidity as they disgustingly attempt to downplay the extraordinary level of increased deaths due to Covid. I am not going to provide links to multiple medically sound and scientific sites that have explained even for the uneducated large cohort on BS that demonstrate their lack of a simple understanding of basic primary level statistics.

Instead I ask you to consider just how viciously selfish and offensive your comments are to the multiple families who have lost family members due to Covid be it directly or indirectly.

Shame on you lot, you know who you are.

    1. ken m

here here, i know of three people to covid, one was my uncle, he was fighting and winning against cancer but his immune system was weak. He would have lived for another 30 years easily. Of course the selfish “my right to infect others” cohort don’t deem him as worthy of life, shame on them indeed

      1. K.Cavan

Honestly, ken m, I’m very sorry about your uncle & I’m sympathetic to your own mental problems if you’re actually capable of joining the non-existant dots between him dying of cancer & people refusing to take medical advice from politicians.
The gene therapy injections are indicated in multiple deaths of cancer patients, by the way.

    2. Cui Bono?

“the extraordinary level of increased deaths due to Covid”

John, there hasn’t been a massive increase in overall deaths. Total deaths are within the normal range compared with other years. We are all just searching for the truth. There’s 1000s upon 1000s of highly qualified scientists and doctors speaking out.

      1. Chris

@ John, Why ever should the people that had no political agency & at no stage affected the outcomes of these death feel shame? Shame should be reserved for both the instigators of our present paradigm & those to cowardly to question it, despite the overwhelming evidence showing malfeasance. Those that turn a blind eye to evil, are themselves complicit.

    3. K.Cavan

Here’s some basic statistics, John, increase in total mortality in Ireland 2020 was 2.04%.
In 2018, the equivalent figure was 2.07%.
What caused the even bigger Pandemic in 2018?
Until you can answer that you should cease & desist with your facile accusations & spoofery you’re just making a holy show of yourself. I’ll give you a reference for my figures, unlike you, cso.ie.

  4. fluffybiscuits

    Afternoon

I got Daisys comment straight off !

Currently going through Covid at the moment. Sleeping a lot, exhaustion is unreal and Ive a mild cough and brain fog.

The idea of the lockdown was to prevent the vulnerable. We all got our lives back so no point in whining about how many did die that were healthy…move on

  5. K.Cavan

Where have all these illiterate loons come from? Is this actually the best the Covidiot brigade can muster? What sort of a retard thinks that opposing a fake pandemic makes you somehow responsible for the number of fictitious death certificates that were claimed, to keep The Lie alive? No, folks, that was your guys, you do actually have some blood on your hands, because you supported this health fascism, what’s worse, even as the ground disappears from under your feet, you try to blame it on the people who told you to move to somewhere safer.
    Utterly pathetic & disgusting stuff.

    1. Chris

It’s utterly preposterous alright, instead of directing their ire at those that deserve it – they seek a perceived easier target. Leveling false allegations and preposterous assertions that are easily dismissed with official data. The Covidian’s are impervious to logic, no matter how damning & continue to cling on to their frail delusions. They’ve been made mugs of time & time again, but rather than admit their fault, they double down in self deceit. ‘Experts say’ indeed.
