I don’t remember Putin being this warmongery before the vaccines. Something’s not right. Wake up, sheeple!

    1. TenPin Terry

Who can forget the then EU President Jean-Claude Juncker warmly congratulating Putin on his re-election and promising the EU would be firm allies of Russia – two weeks after the Skirpals were poisoned in Salisbury in 2018.
The EU’s appeasement of the Russian tyrant fuelled by their desperation for cheap gas has come back to haunt it.
Parents in Ukraine are tonight on Facebook discuss putting stickers on their children’s clothes, when they go to school, indicating their blood type.

Ah that’s super stuff Ten Pull Terry/Charger Summons/Admiral Nelson etc etc
Is it not past your bedtime in Cork, I mean, the Caribbean yet?
Go huafásach (that’s terrible old sport)
        Marvelous

@dan, Russia is in a right state at the moment, their economy is in the bin and Putin is rattled.

While Johnson and Biden are hardly the best and brightest at least old man trouser dump is out of the picture.

I can only imagine his praising of Putin right now with Jared the Real Boy! ™ trying to remind him of how wars/conflicts actually work. Although that would have made for high comedy.

Still, plenty of laughs to be had from watching the designated ‘presidential poker’ jabbing Biden every so often to keep him awake….. ;)

        Lolololololol

“Russia is in a right state at the moment, their economy is in the bin and Putin is rattled.”

Ian’s a gas man altogether, Russia has no debt and its economy is far stronger than any EU country,
Putin is laughing, he holds all the cards.

There’s many a sausage and rasher had a lick of marmalade. Cheese also, and no harm EI. Then again, maybe it’s the insulin resistance that has our little friends piling on the lbs.

      1. TenPin Terry

I can heartily recommend a spoonful of good quality marmalade with gin in a cocktail shaker then topped up with tonton.
The Bonne Maman Tangy Mandarin works a treat even though it’s French.
I like it with a London Dry gin such as Gordon’s although not with my go-to gin of Bombay Sapphire which has a more delicate fragrance I don’t care to tamper with.
If you’re strapped for spondoolicks Aldi’s Greysons is a good alternative.Interestingly it used to be known as Oliver Cromwell – I can’t understand why they changed it.Excellent name.
Around 3pm is a perfect time for a sharpener.

At yesterday’s sentence hearing Mr Justice Burns said there was substance the view that the cross examination of the victim during her trial was ‘unduly protracted’

    Nothing’s changed.

Btw it was a man. Niall Kennedy. Who was on trail.

    1. Ian-oG

Saw that V and a right dangerous character he is at that. From what I read there was overwhelming evidence against him but he refuses to admit his actions.

This is the point where I might say that the legal profession needs to take a good long look at itself but its abundantly clear that will never, ever happen so we need to look at it for them because they have existed too long in such an exalted state and its well past time they were reminded who and what they serve.

      1. V aka Frilly Keane

The exact same length of time Joanne Hayes spent in front of the Lynch Tribunal

        You know back in 1984
        When Gardai arrived in Kerry,

Nell McCafferty referred to the murder investigation (Caherciveen baby, Baby John) as a ‘Woman Hunt’

btw, Blood tests proved that same year -1984, that neither Joanne or her boyfriend Joe were the parents of Baby John. But shur
…. 43 lads, plus a few local up and coming journalists

        nothing’s changed

        1. Ian-oG

That Ger Colleran is some piece of work alright.

The Daily Star was probably a bit too classy for the likes of him.

          1. V aka Frilly Keane

            He had company
a future Parliamentary Correspondent for the Irish Times no less

            https://www.broadsheet.ie/2018/02/09/i-expect-you-to-keep-us-honest/

just think about these two local lads
who should have had Joanne’s back
but instead decided to make a names for themselves off her
along with all the others, like 27 Gardai
Look at the careers they built up for themselves
and the lives there were able to provide their families
+ benchmarked pensions paid holidays and sickleave
            Off Joanne

Imagine the life she could have had for herself and her children if that apology and compensation came in 1985 and not 2020

One consequence of the Putin insanity is you can see how utterly ridiculous it is for so called libertarians self pleasurers to call Justin Trudeau a tyrant. Useless armchair lings of false equivalence who wouldn’t know tyranny if it crawled up their inside leg and gave them a five knuckle shuffle

    1. Trustin Judeau

      Eh wha??
Arresting and seizing assets of those you dont like, threatening to smash windows of businesses for having served truckers coffee, and now floating the idea that the ability to freeze peoples accounts and seize assets may be made permanent and not a subject to emergency law (which btw is insane in the first place seeing as the process is act first, check if its justified later). Emergency laws bypass all democratic checks with no approval needed.
      Tinpot stuff

      1. SOQ

Yes it will fun to watch the Covidians tie themselves in knots trying to justify Fidel Jnr’s power grab. At this stage even the most dense must surely realise that this has nothing to do with a virus.

Some interesting facts coming out about the Liberal’s connections to the WEF- including a parliamentary question being cut short about how many members of the current government subscribe to it.

If only we had a politician here who would not be afraid to ask same.

    2. Kali

Are you saying because Russia rolled tanks into Ukraine yesterday that gives Tredau a pass to oppress Canadians? Strange logic but this is the type of thing you expect on news sites I suppose

      1. SOQ

Don’t be silly- it is perfectly normal to in act emergency war measures, otherwise known as martial law, for minor by law infractions.

It has been suggested that the reason why leaders worldwide are not standing up against what Trudeau is doing in Canada, is because they all plan on doing the exact same thing to their people.

        Time will tell.

    1. TenPin Terry

Micko – I’ve only just read your five point balls rant last night and I just wanted to say what a thing of beauty it is.
Nice to see humour employed skillfully in a post rather than the endless vituperation and repetition currently swamping BS.
I also like Johnny Beavis’s stuff too so it’s great to see two posting pugilists go toe to toe.
      Top work.

      1. Joe F

Ah that’s good stuff Admiral Nelson/Charger Salmon/Ten Pull Terry etc etc
What a pleasure to read – quality work
Maith an fear (jolly spiffing old boy)

        1. The Millie Obnoxious™

You’d have more success if bashed your head repeatedly against a wall. Ignore his comments if you don’t like them.

As it is, your current approach is about as tedious as Salmons himself.

          1. The Millie Obnoxious™

I’ll probably be run off for this, but if you can wade through the… characterisation… Terry/Salmons or whatever personality he’s fashioned for himself today, he can make a fair point and he’s funny too. But only when he wants to, I think.

He’s kind of like the new Memes.

          2. TenPin Terry

Millie – I always engage if a fellow poster is interesting or funny rather than just plain abusive or repetitious.
I don’t even mind if the responses are a bit near the knuckle provided there’s some skill in the delivery.
Otherwise I simply treat them with the disdain they deserve.
My wind-ups are a weakness of mine. I find them a great way of making anonymous posters reveal their true personality which is often sad, quite needy and frequently filled with hatred. But hey, that’s the downside of the internet.
Be rest assured though that they’re never meant to be serious just thought-provoking.

Janet – who is Sara ?

          3. Joe F

Well then don’t read my comments, I’m not forcing you to read them!
He is a vile individual that has been kicked off multiple sites, you can still read what he wrote on the peoples republic of cork site. It’s quite a sick mind that comes up with stuff like those.

          4. TenPin Terry

            Millie & Janet.
Trust me I’m one person. Why would I bother my hole with another account ?
I retire usernames occasionally when I get bored of them or BS turfs me out.
I do seem to trigger an awful lot of dullards on here though. One-trick ponies posting the same crayon drawings all day every day.You know the ones …

    2. GiggidyGoo

Fianna Fáil’s Minstas Insta in de Binsa come next election.
The comments on that are quite cutting. It’s so bad, it could be removed at any time.

    3. Ian-oG

Excellent stuff, that’s them probably down a point or two in the next polls based solely on that horror show….

      LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

      1. Trustin Judeau

“‘Minsta’s on Insta?’ What the fuck is this – this omnishambles. Next they’ll be doing fucking tiktok dances in Dail Eireann with the fucking teletubbies”

…nobody deserves peace more than the Ukraine…no country paid a higher price during WW2…Putin has shown great restraint up to now…it is ironic that the present puppet regime usurped the sitting government when a US/NATO backed mob stormed the Capital building in Kyiv…keep poking sleepy Joe…

    1. TenPin Terry

The thing about tyrants is if you appease them then others will get notions.
If Putin gets away with invading Ukraine watch what China does with Taiwan.
What’s going on now is a direct result of Biden’s catastrophic handling of the evacuation of Afghanistan.
Putin saw weakness and Sleepy Joe being given a free ride by the American media and was encouraged.
US troops scurrying away, billions of dollars worth of equipment abandoned and Afghans falling off departing military cargo planes – all of which would have been avoided under Trump.
It will become the defining moment of Biden’s failed presidency.
America has never been as weak as it is now with an elderly and clearly mentally-impaired POTUS.
      These are dangerous times.

      1. Joe F

I don’t recall Chamberlain rushing to be first into the German Embassy in Dublin to sign Hitler’s Book of Condolences.
Now that was an embarrassing stain on Ireland’s history considering all those brave Irish lads who volunteered and died fighting for freedom.
Neutrality, eh? The only way to make sure you’re on the winning side.
          Morto.

…the brave Irish lads who volunteered and died fighting for Irish freedom did so in 1916…not as paid mercenaries at Passchendaele…

          3. Otis Blue

Nice nod to the ‘bard of the boyne’.

In the circularity of these things the Yellow Bittern, which the poem references, was the title of an outstanding documentary on Liam Clancy by the vastly-underrated Alan Gilsenan; himself Meath-born like Ledwidge.

    1. GiggidyGoo

Ah, Charger writing about inferiority complexes. Today’s laugh. Just look above. Sure Have Inferiority Troubles there Charger.

PS Don’t forget to collect your car in Hounslow. Bring a bin bag.

Ah that’s terrible stuff Admiral Nelson/Charger Salmon/Ten Pill Terry etc etc
Irish Times is no good yet you seem to read it a lot
    Iontach

    1. Ian-oG

That is sublime……I have sent that link onto quite a few people, fair play Otis, you’ve made a few people smile this morning!

    1. Ian-oG

Yet again Piersy is incorrect, Trudeau is not woke, that would imply some measure of ‘awareness’ as the term is currently understood.

He’s like Leo in that he is able to parrot what human beings say and do but he doesn’t really understand what he is saying or doing because he is emotionally deficient.

The only thing he is aware of is his own prestige and comfort.

      OR

He’s a complete and utter twit.

      Either works.

“The three white men convicted of chasing down and murdering a young Black man, Ahmaud Arbery, as he was out jogging in their suburban Georgia community, were found guilty on Tuesday of committing federal hate crimes and other offenses in the 2020 killing. A predominantly white jury deliberated for about four hours over two days before returning the verdict against Travis McMichael, 36, his father, former police officer Gregory McMichael, 66, and a neighbor, William “Roddie” Bryan, 52, in U.S. District Court in Brunswick, Georgia…”
