Last night.

The leaders of the Government parties Freedom agreed that NPHET’s recommendations to end almost all remaining covid restrictions should be accepted.

Via RTE:

The final decision will be taken by the Cabinet this morning. If agreement is reached, as expected, the changes would take effect from 28 February.

This would mean that mask wearing in schools, retail settings and on public transport would be voluntary from next Monday.

It is likely people would still be advised to continue wearing masks on public transport, but it would not be underpinned by law.

Physical distancing measures in schools, such as pods, would also end next week.

NPHET itself will be wound-up too…

Janet, you’re not sane (because you dismiss ABBA), but you still get a hug or ride ? It’s up too you!! :-)

          Agreed Andy!

Thanks to broadsheet crew for the many laughs and eye rolls, but also for making me think and then stop and think again. And of course the music, always the high point in any given week.

Thanks especially to John Ryan, Janet, Frilly and Bertie for reaching out to me after a really tough year. Made me see that there is a real community of good people here, for all our differences of opinion.

Fantastic news! Also like to reiterate that statement above…. broadsheet has been excellent in keeping us informed and entertained. Love that you put out information that is not the same narrative as everywhere else and that you think your audience is mature enough to investigate and mature enough to make up their own minds. Thank you very much broadsheet for what has been an extremely testing time.

Thank you Bodger!! Your ecclectic and all-encompassing content has been a touchstone for me when all around seemed hypnotised by the NWO narrative, keeping a light on in a darkening world.
The world may not be out of the woods yet, but sun is shining here for us now so bring on the good times!

Always knew what to expect and where I stood with BS and it has been a highlight over the last few years though certainly too before that.

Bar the odd knob head or two on here most posters have been sound and come across as decent human beings with sincerely held beliefs.

Special shout out for Grandmaster Paulus and his waxing lyrical and Janet for being especially nice to me. You’d give a fella notions of himself.

It’s more of a temporary reprieve than ‘freedom’ – but take full advantage at getting your rocks off. I echo the positive sentiments above. It’s nice to know people have done their homework, and are able to extrapolate events in advance.

Pour a drop for our homies in other parts of the empire too. Here’s hoping they get some ‘freedoms’ back and are able to go about their lives unaccosted.
