Given the likelihood of SF making huge gains in the next election, you’d think MM might try changing tact when trying to deflect. It’s obviously not working

The phrase is changing ‘tack’, not ‘tact’. From sailing: “to change course by turning a boat’s head into and through the wind”.

Silly of MlMcD to get pulled into that, it’s completely unnecessary to sling muck. The government has failed time and time and time again on housing. It’s plain for all to see. They have indeed cheated an entire generation out of a decent family life. And FFFG continue to sell out the opportunity to have a decent life for further generations. They are still at it, in plain view! You’d want to be very deluded or lacking in any cognitive skills to not see that. So yeah, stop the muck slinging Mary Lou, and stick with the facts, otherwise you’re scoring own goals.

Stinging speech from Mary Lou. One MM had no answer for. The country is being carved up and sold to the highest bidder

Mehole never once addressed the O’Devaney Gardens carryon.

It is quite obvious that FFG have no intention of building affordable housing- especially on a city centre site like that. It is only a two minute walk to Phoenix park and less than five to Heuston station- so big money to be made.

I agree.. if you don’t play the game and win, and want a house given to you, out to the boonys with you. Gafs in town should be net contributors to the taxation pot.

The only thing being ‘given’ there is to the developer and if threatened, the vulture funds- that is Mary Lou’s whole point?

If only micheal had achievements he could highlight, maybe in housing,or health, for a start……
it wouldn’t be necessary for him to belittle his office in his efforts to besmirch his opposition.

Exactly. If he thought it was an unfair accusation, he would defend himself. Instead he chose the “Well, you can’t talk..” line of defence/admission of guilt.

So with Mary Lou in charge suddenly all the problems facing us disappear and money trees grow
We are facing a massive crash as our country is impossible to live in as prices just soar
Thing is very few can afford to live here any more
And the only solution is wage increases that fuel higher and higher prices
I see the days of a €10.00 latte pretty soon

Even the more ardent, hardened Shinners do not believe there is much SF can do if they are elected and constantly making out like people are sitting around like dogs with their tongues lolling waiting for the good times to roll is part of the reason why people are getting more and more sick of FFG and their narratives.

What is known is that we can show FFG that the jig is up and if they want to be in power again they need to up their game and start working for the Irish people, all of them not just their wealthy buddies.

I personally could not care less who is power, so long as they are able to keep the lights on and ensure we all have some sort of basic standard of living. It’s become quite clear that FFG have given up any pretence of ruling for all and couldn’t care less that people are living preciously with little access to the most fundamental right we have – someone to live.

If they cannot get something so absolutely basic right, they are not fit to govern and at this stage their constant attacks on SF’s history means precisely SFA to some person in their 20s or 30s who, even on a very healthy salary is still not able to afford the obscene rents or get a mortgage.
