The Taoiseach and ministers leave a cabinet meeting to discuss the situation in Ukraine.

Meanwhile…

Well.

As long as you don’t mind sharing the couch with Nick. It’s a pull-out so plenty of room. Bring milk.

plenty of people talking about this online, including Ukrainian border staff. They are streamlining Ukrainian passports so people without Ukrainian passports are being sidelined but this is being rectified.

How exactly is it being rectified? And no, it is racism- mainly Africans and Indians- not all foreign nationals.

        1. paul

so… people without Ukrainian passports, yeah? The exact people I mentioned above.

They set up the streamlining overnight, waiving visas etc, but only did it for Ukrainians passport holders. Now they are seeing non-Ukrainians fleeing Ukraine and are having to do that visa waiving for others which takes a bit longer.

If you want to create a narrative, you’ll have to try harder than that.

Did you even read any of those interviews? Or is it just you talk to the hand to everything which doesn’t fit your script?

Actually, I know the answer to that already.

and the narrow-minded rubbish you post here is better? If I saw anything that didn’t fit my view, then my view changes to encompass the new information. Unlike yourself who bangs the same drum and do so in such a way that no new information gets in.

When all else fails hurl insults eh? Is that part of your script too?

Brown people are saying they being turned away because of their race but Nigel knows better. Nigel ALWAYS knows better.

What would you call this? I would call this hurling insults, and initiated by you.

Don’t dish it if you can’t take it. You know that.

They didn’t change. I only just saw what you wrote there. Holy jaysus you’ve got it bad.

    2. Nigel

Guess some of those ‘woke bad takes’ weren’t so wrong after all.

(Seriously though, there are some appalling stories out there about this.)

      Correct
Even as east Ukrainians face destruction the old race thing is alive and well
You would think this is not going on both sides of the border
But sad to say east Europe still is full of far right racists

We don’t have to go too far back in time at all to see Middle Eastern refugees rejected at the Poland-Belarus border, left in the woods in freezing conditions.

I did remark to my wife that it was amazing to see the welcome to white Christian (culturally or otherwise) European refugees.

Some turnaround for the right shade of pigment.

That’s if Irish people owned homes.

Luckily I do, and I am happy to accept any Ukrainian.
